FlyingIron BF 109 G-6

Yes - I can confirm this exact same issue as described with the GPS - I been having this in VR in MSFS2024 and it would be extremely nice, if this could be fixed. I do not like flying with the gunsight as it is pretty useless in the Marketplace version of the product.

It’s a know bug on PC. Flying iron are aware and are fixing it soon.

Any chance of having the radio working? I’m ok not having the gps as long as we have the ability to tune vors, but no gps and no nav radio? Any workaround…apart from looking at the moving map, of course. Thanks

You can tune vor on the garmin unit and the radio directional pointer works.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Problem is that in the bf109 the GPS is always rotating, the image is not fixed on the window, it’s tethered tot he throttle position, the more throttle, the faster is rotates and makes it impossible to use.

Try changing the gps page to data once your frequencies are entered.
It will still give you the course deviation indicator at the bottom of the screen and shouldnt rotate.

Will try, thanks

Hi all,

We have just released v1.0.4 of the 109. As usual, it is available for our website customers, and should be available for Marketplace customers soon (although, there may be some delays considering the time of year).

Unfortunately, we have not yet found the cause of the scrolling GPS screen in 2024, but we are still investigating the issue.

We are also working on updates for the F6F and P-38, which shouldn’t be too far away!

Is this update for 2020 and 2024? Because the website description starts with „2020“ only (but states both marketplaces at the bottom)

Edit: 1.0.4 is in the FS2024 marketplace now (updated 15.12.2025)

Thanks for the feedback, really hope you find it as there is no way right now to tune a VOR as the radio/transponder also not working to change freqs

Just checked in on this with SU5 beta 1.7.6 (FS2024)

The “scrolling” GPS seems solved.

Several clickspots have become extremely hard to reach/click, for example pulling the starter lever.

Version ingame (Win/steam) shows 1.0.5 now; no mention of this version on the FlyingIron website and no patchnotes in the game…

Thanks for the info! I haven’t been able to test SU5 yet due to some CTD issues, but I’ll investigate the clickspots as soon as I can.

The version on the Marketplace is identical to 1.0.4. It just gets incremented automatically whenever we upload a new version, and we had to re-upload 1.0.4 due to a small issue. I hope that makes sense!

I can confirm, in SU5 many clickspots aren’t usable.

Any news on the clickspot issues?
In current SU5 5.1 beta they still persist (Win11 steam)

FI are apparently working on it

Hi, yes I have found the cause of the issue and a fix should be available this week, or next week at the very latest.

Awesome, glad to hear it as it makes flying in VR very difficult…

Can I confirm this will be applied to other affected FI Aircraft like the P-38?

Yep, we have an update coming for the P-38 as well! I’ll check over our other aircraft too, but the 109 is affected the most by this issue.

Bonjour. Vite la mise à jour. L’avion est complètement injouable dans ces conditions. C’est extrêmement frustrant…

Hello. Quickly update. The aircraft is completely unplayable in these conditions. It’s extremely frustrating…

Version 1.0.5 is now available for website customers. The tiny clickspot issue has been fixed, and we’ve added a Swiss livery :switzerland:

I’ve also uploaded the build to the Marketplace. I’m not sure what timelines are like, but I imagine that it wont take long!
