Ah, that’s not the clickspot I meant. The one I was talking about was a clickspot to restore the EFB battery.
From the manual:
The red area will still hopefully bring the battery to full.

Unfortunately, you have misunderstood me! The corner on the tablet is of no use to me if there is no tablet.
Got you now.
No tablet showing at all, whether battery is full or empty.
And the show tablet click spot doesn’t appear to work.
Not something I’ve experienced, unfortunately. Sorry!
I have now used Livery 2 once and the tablet worked normally. If it works again with Livery 1, I must have done something wrong ![]()
If only I knew what!!!
It does. Recharged with a click during my last flight.
Are you clicking in the correct place to restore the tablet?
The click spot is shown in the manual, but it is the top of the openable DV window to the left of the pilot.
I’ve never had an issue with removing and recalling the tablet once I figured out where that click spot was.
also depends on what point of view you are inside the cockpit to be able to click on the right spot.
never had problem with removing and recalling the EFB as welll.
I apologise if I’ve been a bit of a horse’s ■■■ here. I just used Livery 1 (N427RC TDS GTN750XI) again and everything worked fine. On the one hand I’m sure I used the right clickspots, on the other hand you can’t see the wood for the trees.
Sorry again, all good, everything works, must have been my mistake! ![]()
This is what we’re all here for, to help/fix/understand someone’s issue - even if it turns out to be an issue between the chair and the sim ![]()
. I’ve been there, and have bought a mountain of t-shirts ![]()
For instance, I got to re-appreciate where the ‘recharge the EFB battery’ is!
So all is never lost, buddy.
What does the GTN750 + WT livery mean?
What is the difference between the GTN750 and this WT version?
Ah perfect! Unfortunately there is no WorkingTitle WT enhancement to download for the Cessna 414:
https://pms50.com/msfs/aircrafts/
And enabling this feature brings some ugly visual bugs onto the GTN750 screen like GS Ground Speed over the Flight Plan button, and the Distance scala over the Create Waypoint button:
The file to use the WT version of the pms50 gtn750 is already included in the aircraft installer (at least in the latest stable version 2.7.0).
But it still has some minor bugs because all my addons are upgraded to the latest version.
Just like that carpet I have added to this plane, it looks visually glitching like this under certain lighting conditions.
After the newest update a massive return of the eighties Öktoberfest Polka-Dot default-carpet was therefore necessary! ![]()
Strange how in all these weeks (or even months) I did not notice this visual bug in my own texture, and I have flown the C414 a lot…
Now with the default polka-dot carpet back in the airplane the visual glitch is gone. (a normal map cannot be modified or everything shines like chrome, it is therefore necessary to keep the iconic original carpet.)
I have tested the Cessna 414 heating system and found out that the heating power seem to be not powerful enough. When flying in Alaska the cabin only had 16° or 18°C.
Fan set to high, cabin circulation instead of fresh air from outside, and all heaters maxed out and all heating vents open. Cooler (the cooler setting seems to be the freon air conditioning because the temp is going down very fast when turning the knob to the right) is off.
Is there something wrong with my heating settings? I know that some cheap build cars (especially old oversized Diesels) have a very bad heating system that cannot cope with temperatures of -15°C and deeper, but when seeing these Continental O6 engines glow under the hood I assume they are hot enough to make the cabin cozy ![]()
When the engine heaters aren’t enough, there is a cabin heater switch on the left panel that turns on a separate gas fired heater.
The LH/RH WARM knobs are for the heat exchangers. Heat exchangers on the 414 are used to heat cold fuel by diverting heat from the engine’s oil system while cabin heaters burn avgas. Two different use for these three knobs and can be confusing. Use the white (high or low) and red switches (red depending on the interior mod you have) on the left control panel heating section. ctrl+6 to have a better view on this part of the left panel. Also, check the two push/pull “cabin air” levers but I’m not sure if they are modeled.
v 2.7.2 FULL RELEASE is available for those who might have missed
UPDATES:
Pilot attitude gauge bottom center needle finally got coded as this is another CDI but only visible on a active localizer.
Pilot attitude gauge GSI also is only visible on a active localizer.
VR users can now see passengers from outside view.
Overspeed audio warning got updated so it’s always 230 knots indicated.
Very important note about 2.7.2, make sure to uninstall any previous version (using Add/Remove programs).
The folder name has changed. If the previous version is not uninstalled you will end up with 2 versions of the aircraft.
From Momo on Discord:
Make sure you uninstall the old version as we changed the folder name as it was still outdated. You will end up with 2 copies in the community folder. After this time you can install over the old one. Old was flysimware-cessna-414a and new is flysimware-cessna-414aw.
Important note also re 2.7.2…
The name change changes all the folders in game, including the one where the aircraft state and custom cameras are kept. To restore your previous information you need to do the following;
AppData>Local>Packages>MicroSoftFlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe>LocalCache>SimObjects>Airplanes
In there you will find two folders assuming you have uninstalled version 2.7.0 and installed 2.7.2. You need to copy to two files (cameras & state) from the folder flysimware_Cessna_414A and overwrite the files in flysimware_Cessna_414AW. Once you’ve done that you can delete the folder ending in ‘A’.
FWIW, I would highly recommend you back up the whole ‘Airplanes’ folder anyway, as it contains all your custom cameras etc. If you ever have to to a reinstall of the game, you will lose that info unless you have a backup.
