I know it’s in beta, so I expect issues, it just seems like there are issues with core systems still. Is that true or am I misreading?
It really depends on your expectations. If you layout what you are expecting it will be easier to give an answer.
I suppose if it flies, I’ll be happy! It seems to do that well enough!
The biggest issue with the core sim (in my opinion) is that turbocharged engines are simply not working properly. This means you have to fly with auto mixture (can basically forget about the levers) or use a mod (if you’re on PC). That one is on Asobo.
There are still bugs obviously but each version gets better. It’s still enjoyable to fly and I’ve seen betas and even releases that were way worse.
The developer seems very active on discord and updates are coming out almost weekly at the moment.
If you plan to get it eventually get it now. It’s currently a bit cheaper and the discount might end with the beta, but I don’t know for sure.
Don’t actually know why you even asked if that’s all you want out of it. If that’s your only requirement then you can buy almost any aircraft that’s available for this sim.
That is great news. It really needs it .
The real aircraft is not twitchy on the ground, at all.
Like others have said it’s more of issues with the core sim, not the add on. The add on is fine, the sim needs to adjust its ground friction model and engine model for these add ons to reach and even higher level than they already are.
It looks great, but I would wait until it is in better shape. It is still quite beta and not finished.
I was slightly disappointed after purchase, although It really looks very nice.
That’s an easy excuses, other aircraft similarly priced are in much better shape than this one.
As much as I want to jump on the 414A, I’m waiting for the official release and reviews of said release before buying it. I’ve become gun shy of early beta releases.
The latest beta build is very floaty on final and lifts off at low speed. Other folks on the Discord have noticed the same. I’m sure the developer will fix it in an upcoming build. Otherwise it’s fun to fly and I’m looking forward to further updates.
My thoughts (as I also wrote on their discord channel): In it’s current state the aircraft is not worth buying anymore. The flight model has been messed up since 1.43, there is no state saving, no damage model, the tablet is of very little use, no working circuit breakers, each update deteriorates it. Right now the left engine EGT is not showing, the right Cyl temperature is not working (or the other way around), right prop animation is broken, the fuel computer is not working properly. It’s all more or less easy fixes, but the problem is: the aircraft was way better when it was released than it is right now.
A new bug with 1.5. Not sure what is going on here but the left needle never moves.

I would tend to agree. It does seem to be getting a little worse with every hotfix. When it first came out it was all I flew but I’m finding it less and less attractive now which is a shame.
This has been out for over two weeks now. The Beta process is usually half a step forward followed by another half a step forward. This has been more, one step forward, one and a half back. The latest Beta is a pretty big step backwards.
@Saltash53 Could not agree more. And @RC2018 : Beta usually means IMPROVING over time, not deteriorating. And lets not forget: they charge 40$ for it.
I’m following this thread and this aircraft with great interest. It does look great, but decided to hold out till it’s ‘done’.
I’ve already stopped flying the A320NX mostly, simply because of the ‘moving target’ nature of a plane still in constant development. I’ve decided I like my planes ‘finished’ (as much as possible, given the sim itself is also still maturing)
Once this plane reaches version 1, and it still looks great, I will most likely get it.
I don’t think that’s a new bug. I pointed out the same thing earlier in this thread. The reason I was given was.
“Automixture is turned on by default for this aircraft due to the sim not modeled for turbocharged engines”
The latest version is good on one hand in that they fixed the camera position. It does though feel a little more twitchy on landing now. It’s a struggle to keep it on the runway atm. Hasn’t stopped me from flying it though.
That’s exactly what we are giving them. And the feedback is negative -also called criticism. Many people don’t like that (you obviously included), but that’s how it is.
