Wow, no updates in 3 weeks and two come along in a day! Seems more like a hotfix to me though. Here’s the change log-

Updates:

  1. The strobe bulb(s) are now coded and will show effect.

Bugs:

  1. Due to new LOD’s there was issues with viewing the door animation and passengers. Fixed.
  2. The TR engine reverser arm switch(s) tooltip was reversed and is fixed.
  3. Nose steering animation was fixed from the previous update.

Has there been word about the price going up on full release? I assume not but I think that did happen with the Cessna 414.

It’s a hell of an airplane even at it’s current phase… way better than most ‘fully tested’ planes that get released. This thing is supreme.

Agreed. Easily my favourite business jet in the sim right now. The Cockspur PH100 and the FlightFX Vision Jet are close seconds.

Nowadays I tend to only buy AC with wear and tear features but I have to say that I am really enjoying the Learjet even without these features. Not quite sure why really. Maybe it’s the flight model perhaps but for whatever reason it has a pretty good feel about it imo. It doesn’t harm it either that it’s pretty dam n fast too!

Really looking forward to the new sounds as well when they eventually come (not that the current ones are bad).

Anybody know if the Circuit Breakers are planned to be modelled btw?

There actually are 3 or 4 circuit breakers modelled already. The dev has said a while ago that it’s not in his plans to do any more of them.

Anyone else having issues with the download at the moment? Trying to get the latest update and the download speed is barely alive. Tried with different Browsers at different times of day. So far no luck. Anybody know if there’s a server issue at the moment?

Yeah I’ve always had issues downloading from FSW. Which is unfortunate, as they update the Learjet and the 414 almost on the weekly lol. Their servers don’t seem to be great.

Downloaded the latest version 4.4.8 of the Cessna 414 this morning with absolutely no problem. I use Google Chrome as my browser.

Updates:

  1. The white navigation light bulbs on the tail are now working.
  2. Tables and shades audio is now tied to the headset filter option.
  3. The Hobbs engine counter is now based on the engines flight time and not engine hours. Your official flight time will be displayed after this update is installed.
  4. Max Fuel on the tablet’s fuel page was corrected. This is the total max allowable fuel.
  5. Airspeed speed bugs are now part of the save state.

Bugs:

  1. Due to the new front gear overhaul the front gear was 180 degrees out. Fixed.

New Feature:

  1. VR controllers can now grab the yoke.
  2. 8 new liveries. (We are still working out a few minor bugs for the paint kit. Hold off on updating 3rd party liveries until V1.3.0 is out.)

Hold off on getting 1.2.9 guys. There are issues. Wait until it gets fixed.

Would prefer that the extra liveries were available as a separate add on, so people can choose if they want them. 1.2.9 breaks all 3rd party liveries, again. I looked at the changes and the differences do not add any value, so not sure why they were even done. This also means the paint kit is now out of sync with the 3d model. The tablet is also seriously broken, so going back to 1.2.8.

Just noticed in Add & Remove Programs, I have 2x of these listed (and 1x 414). Any ideas why? Should I uninstall the 1.0.6 one?

I would uninstall both, make sure nothing is left in the community folder then reinstall 1.2.9.

Looks like a newer install didn’t remove the older version. I’ll bet the installers have different product codes, so it didn’t “upgrade” the existing install. You can hack the older version out of the registry fairly easily to make it disappear from the installed programs list.

Updates:

  1. Paint-Kit is done!
    (All 3rd party Paint-Kits can now be updated. The latest version can be found here. Paintkits – Flysimware)
  2. To reset the flight time. Turn off both inverters switches and then move the timer switch to the zero position.
  3. Both pilot and copilot HSI DME display will now show 999 when over this distance.

Bugs:

  1. Pilot and copilot HSI mode selector was not updating the mode display units Fixed.
  2. The copilot mode display units was missing the night texture.
  3. Right generator reset button was missing the INOP tooltip.
  4. Turning both L&R stall switches off will now illuminate the master warning. Clicking the master warning will clear and distinguish the light.
  5. The fire warning test function now illuminates the master warning. Clicking the master warning will clear and distinguish the light.
  6. The Mach and Mach trim test function requires the L stall switch to be on to perform a test.

New Feature:

  1. Added a new temperature decal above the OAT gauge.
  2. Tablet settings page now includes a save state switch to toggle the Davtron clock’s time to display 12/24 hour time.
