Flysimware Learjet 35A Early Access RELEASED!

Am I doing something wrong, or does that link go to A2A’s Discord channel?

I don’t know why. I’ve just clicked it and it opened Flysimware channel.

Hmm. I wonder if that link is perhaps not open for invites? I’m not currently on their channel, so it may be redirecting me to another channel that I am part of.

Im not on FSWs channel and weirdly it took me to the A2A channel as well… maybe it’s an alphabetic thing? But weird it took us to the same channel.

Did they give any details on what’s in the big Lear update?

The updated sound package from Boris would be my educated guess.

Ohhhhh for real? Yes please. Plz don’t get my hopes up just to dash them. Just been flying it today, honestly might be my favorite jet. I have the PMDG 737 and JF146. Usually I’m a quality over personal preference guy but man I just love the Lear. Fun approach with 15 knot wind with up to 50 degree knot gusts at 45 degrees off the nose in the Aleutians

No… it’s not the sound update.
That is at a later date. Let yer digits take a stroll over to Discord.

We would, but the invite link is still not working.

<@&1142249104332816475> The lear35A updates are done and beta has started. Here is the changelog.

Looking forward to this update, I haven’t really flown it for a while because of massive stutters and black avionics. I did enjoy flying it though when it did work.

What is “black avionics”? I flew this plane several times last few days and didn’t notice anything wrong.

Typically an Xbox issue, when the sim runs out of available memory it starts to ditch things to stop the sim from crashing.

I still feel this plane is not finished. I have the feeling that not everything is working as it should. Some knobs can be flipped, but nothing happens. For example; what is the turb fan doing? Why is sync not simulated? It feels as a very shallow simulation. I enjoy it, it’s okay, not superb.

I fully agree, the plane feels like Carenado or Asobo level. Very basic, vanilla MSFS systems, no failures simulated, some switches and buttons don’t do anything. But we don’t have many business jets to choose from. It’s a solid piece of work but nothing extraordinary like planes from A2A or Black Square.

You should keep in mind that its only one guy who is developing this plane and tries to make it better. He took a big bite by choosing such a classic MS Flight Simulator plane but in the Discord channel there is a retired Learjet pilot who knows how this plane reacts and feels like and he is satisfied with the plane.

So this is a model of an aircraft that is certified for a crew of 2. And it is a legacy biz jet from an era before the automation which makes possible the single pilot IFR aircraft of today. And it is a very nice model indeed for those of us who really like to fly and not get hung up on a lot of stuff that is just not a big deal for day to day normal flight ops in our make believe world. Where am I going with all this?

A lot of system depth and complexity simulated would really make this model too much of a handful for most single pilot sim flights, at least if the point of the mission is to fly the airplane and have some fun doing so. For those who crave system depth and ultimate realism in the sim, this model might not be the ticket for full enjoyment. OTOH if all the bells and whistles worked, it would be way too much to manage without help from a knowledgable copilot on board, and we all know that this kind of help is in short supply in MSFS! Good discussion tho. Cheers
