Have you even considered changing your Resolution Scaling? More than just about any other adjustment, I feel like this one makes the most noticeable difference in the fidelity of FS2020 than anything else.
I would say in almost every single post here of someone complaining about blurry terrain or low-res buildings/trees, it seems that nobody mentions Resolution Scaling, yet it’s the solution.
Below are two examples of what I’m talking about, one is on Ultra settings, everything possibly maxed out 1080p, resolution scaling to 100. See how the trees are kind of blobby, and the terrain textures seem muddy?
When I keep every slider and option maxed out, and change that scaling to 200, it renders the game in 4x resolution and scales it back down to my native 1080p, you get the draw distance, texture mipmapping, and geometry rendering of 4K! This makes an ENORMOUS difference in the legibility of analog gauges. I can read all the gauges in the 152 without zooming in when I crank the scaling up past 100, whereas they’re a blurry mess at 100%.
The difference is NIGHT AND DAY. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the only other game I’ve seen where the Resolution Scaling has made such a noticeable difference, and it’s even more obvious in that game..
On my system, I found 150% Resolution scaling to suffice for my desires, keeping everything else at Ultra and Object LOD at 200. I avg 24-30fps on a 1660 Super and Ryzen 5 3600. I have zero interest in the intercontinental stuff in an A320, I spend all my time in the 152 practicing manual navigation.
Above is 100% Resolution Scaling
Above is 200% Resolution Scaling
If you can’t see the difference, you’re blind.
