Force feedback in FBW airplanes

In real-life in FBW airplanes like the A320, is there force feedback effect on the joystick in the cockpit? Curious if there is and how its implemented? Or is there always same pressure on yoke regardless of flying condition given there is no physical connection to control surfaces?

No forcefeedback IRL. Flying an A320 IRL feels a bit like playing Ace Combat

Interesting, so using something like XPForce with my Sidewinder FFB2 would be unrealistic when flying the FBW A32nx mod? Which modern airliners do have force feedback effect (physical or simulated) in the yoke/stick in real-life?

Using the FFB2 would be indeed unrealistic in case of the A320.
Apart from sidestick controlled aircraft, all aircraft with hydraulically powered flight controls have forcefeedback, but that’s a rather new term.
In aviation this is being called ‘artificial feel’ since decades.

This would be up to the developers to make the Force Feedback, as true to IRL as possible.
and therefore no force feedback for sidestick controlled aircraft.

They have spent a lot of time working on the perfection of the planes look and feel, this should also be reflected in the (hopefully soon) implementation of Force Feedback

no in the a320 there is no force feedback on the stick, its designed that way

If using xp force, just put the centre spring value up. It is like going back to the early days of MSFS, but it should help.

More detailed explanation of IRL ‘force feedback’ experience with Airbus and Boeing FBW systems here - Airbus Sidestick - Airliners.net

Looks like Airbus sidestick has constant spring force (ie - stick always centers but force is constant regardless of flight parameters). On the other hand Boeing FBW implementation does change forces on the yoke based on flight parameters so something like XPForce would be more realistic with Boeing FBW planes.

You don’t need force feedback on an Airbus because you never trim and due to the Airbus flight path stability.

Boeing aircraft are still pilots aircraft
