ForeFlight iOS App and data broadcasting from MSFS

Hello fellow simmers,

I am having connection issues with Foreflight remaining connected to the simulator so that the aircraft position remains broadcasted to the iPad.

I have contacted Foreflight for support and they reviewed the logs from the app on their side and confirm the issue is not app sided. The disconnect is coming from the PC side MSFS. I have tried two different applications that enable the broadcasting, fs2ff (Flight Simulator to Foreflight) and (FlightEvents). Both work and can show the simulator position, but after 20 seconds or less, the connection is lost and the position is no longer transmitted to the iPad.

My iPad is running the latest iOS 15.7.2, I have removed and reinstalled the app, the IP address is verified and broadcasting correctly but drops after 20 seconds, I do not have a VPN. I am unsure what else to check or troubleshoot.

If anyone can assist that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Any Windows firewall or any sort of program that would shut down the com? I run FS2FF without any trouble.

Just the windows 10 default stuff, I guess windows defender. Anything I should check?

Maybe double-check, your Windows Defender knows FS2FF ?
