In really wish there was an option to have a different background Color for Posts and Messages.
Its only going to be a matter of time that I get into trouble by posing a reply in the Forum, that I thought was going to be a private message.
Already got into trouble doing the opposite… Posting some General Information that I though was going to a Forum Post, that ended up going to someone in a private message.
Got a very Indignant reply –
“And why are you telling me this – you think I don’t already now that – I am a RL Pilot (sigh)”
I think this is just a case of learning how to use the forum software properly. I’m sure you won’t make that mistake again now that it’s happened once
Nothing against you but I don’t quite understand how you could make that mistake.. If you’re in a topic and you hit “Reply” you’re replying to the thread.. You have to go out of your way to actually private message someone by clicking on their name and then clicking “Message” on the profile card. The wording is different to show that you’re performing a different operation.
I don’t think this does exactly what you want but worth trying to see if it helps: In the forum Preferences (Click your monkey-face in the top-right, then the gear, then “Preferences”) under Interface you can change the theme from Dark to Light.
Seems like an honest mistake. The response was a bit over the top, but I have now taken the route of using the forums ignore function. Every day the forums get a little quieter, and a little more focused.
