Can we get an FPS cap for the main menu?

My ASUS 4080 Strix OC produces coil whine because the main menu is running at 144 fps and there’s no real load being presented on it. I don’t see a point in needing to run the main menu at max power, once I’m flying sure, but the main menu? It can run at 60 fps max until the actual flight loads.

There is an option for this in the experimental menu ingame, can’t quite remember what it was called, something like “low power mode”.
Works fine for me. I was also very annoyed by the complete waste of heat and energy in the main menus. It should be a standard setting, noone needs a graphics card run at full power to show a menu…

In General Options, Experimental, turn on “Low Power Mode” .

I may not need it, but I like it. It’s not like I’m in the menu long anyway, so the energy waste is negligible. I appreciate the option, but I hope it stays that way.

I was hoping we could maintain the hangar render while keeping the FPS lower but it completely removes it. Perhaps adding a Menu FPS slider.
