FPS drops over water

While flying over water . . . In most places in the world, my FPS drops to around 3-4, turn LOD down to 10 from 300 increases back to 40-50fps. Soon as I hit land again I turn LOD back up to 300 and FPS is fine until i hit water again… For some reason it does not like water and FPS plummet to the ground.

That’s not normal, a drop for sure but that suggests your cpu is being pushed to it’s limits and water is then the straw that broke the camel’s back. Try again with LOD 150-200 and if needed raise gpu settings a touch. Aim for 25-30 fps over PG and large airports.

one note:

in following topic he already reported the issue ( so, it seems just a duplicate ) :

and he gave a more detailed description.

We can see an screenshot, the resolution , may be the used airplane (but of course not alle used mods ), just some infos which are requested in the issue-report-template, and most importatnt that it not happens only over water

He tried already some LOD settings… and bit later he also mentioned 2080S…

Have the same issue on a couple of flights. When looking towards the ocean the fps tanked.
Then tried lowering the wave quality in graphic settings from medium to low. That instantly fixed it. When I changed the setting back to medium the fps was still good. Strange that changing a setting to low and back to medium fixes the issue. Maybe it clears the “cache” or something similar.
