FPS: PMDG, Fenix or Flybywire

Hi,
I’m thinking to buy or download a Plane but my system is low on resources.
What plane is the best based on FPS? pmdg, fenix or FBW?

Fenix is the most taxing on computers. PMDG is easy on computers. I do not know about FBW.

PMDG , better for FPS than FBW for me, don’t have Fenix so can’t comment on that

If I have to choose between one of the 3, I’ll take PMDG.
For me it is the most stable in fps and PMDG is up to the task so that you can enjoy the Fenix ​​simulation to the fullest, however it is above it in terms of simulation but for that reason I imagine that the fps drop a bit in some situations and they are nothing nice…
FlyByWare for me has been the one that I have enjoyed the most but with so much SUxx and WUxx it is affecting its development in its stable version and it seems that it has stagnated in 0.8.2
So for me and it is my humble opinion the winner is PMDG 737-800

Fenix has additional app which needs to run and it’s quite heavy on CPU (20-30% CPU usage on my Ryzen 3700X). So if are CPU bound you will have problems. Stopped playing it due to very poor performance.
PMDG (I suppose you are talking about 737-XXX) has surprisingly great performance, it runs better than some low complex aicraft.
Honorable mention: if you are into older airliners, Bae146 has also decent performance.

The FBW A320 is free….why don’t you give it a go initially and see how it runs?

It depends on what you like to fly. If you like Airbus, go with either the FBW or Fenix A320. If you like Boeing, go with the PMDG 737.

The FBW A320neo is free and it’s a very good quality addon. So unless you don’t have enough storage space, there’s no reason not to try it. You can download it here.

If you like it, I’d recommend the Fenix A320. I prefer the A320neo because of the better engines, but the quality and detail on the Fenix A320 is absolutely mindblowing.

And if you find Airbus isn’t your preferred aircraft, go with the PMDG 737. It’s also quite good quality and has a ton of customization options, plus multiple variants (regular, BBJ, and two cargo variants) available.

I personally prefer Airbus aircraft because, at least for me, the cockpit is cleaner and easier to understand. But I do have all three addons and I don’t regret installing them.
