FPS, temperature, noise and memory report on ROG Flow X13 Supernova

Hi there,

I just tested the ASUS ROG Flow X13 Supernova with external GPU, and I wanted to share the results here, in case anyone is interested in a thin and light option to run Flight Simulator.

Specs: Ryzen 9 5980HS, 32Gb 4266MHz, 1Tb SSD, internal GTX 1650 mobile (not used for this test)
External GPU: RTX 3080 mobile, 16Gb

Summary:
On external GPU, the sim runs really well. I can get 4K High-end settings at 30fps, or 2.7K Ultra at 30fps.
On internal GPU, the sim runs well too, but I have to drop to 1080p which is fine when traveling.
ASUS just announced an updated version of the Flow X13 with RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti as internal GPU (I’m of course jealous of this, as I think there is a 20% improvement).

Detail: see data and screenshots in a shared google sheet. I tried to link the table here but it’s forbidden. You’ll have to reconstruct it: docs [dot] google [dot] com [slash] spreadsheets [slash] d [slash] 1UjRxA4sikgX5y-mkJxEkt-oLo_U6gy9I-b1gC07sm-0
Else, you can go to my twitter account @julienvm and find the thread I started on May 21, 2021 - the table is linked on the last tweet.

Here is one screenshot of the summary table.

Next, I will test with the internal GPU.

Note: this is not a scientific test - It’s just to give an idea of the performance to be expected with this laptop. I tested in front of the Eiffel tower in a Citation aircraft. The performance is affected by many factors, so this is just a snapshot of performance with the context I used.
