Today I loaded up the FR172. This is after the update. After starting the engine, I turned on the G1000. The pfd on the left didn’t come on and the mfd on the right had a faint G1000nxi showing, but wouldn’t load. Is there an update for this plane?
Have you installed the latest G1000? Check out Market Place or Content Manager - it was probably downloaded during the update buy you have to install it for it to work.
The NXi is automatically installed/updated because it’s now part of Sim Core Code.
The only reason to install the Garmin G1000 NXi (see below - the one with the colored PFD) is for third party planes or mods that still reference the Asobo G1000 - it’s a “bridge” version to tell it to use the latest one until the third party or mod author can edit their code to reference the sim core code version correctly. I would recommend checking with the FR172 author to see if the Bridge Version is still required.
I have the latest update. ver 0.14.0. and it says up to date.
Ask the maker of the plane mod if you still need the Bridge NXi or if you can now safely uninstall it. Only they can troubleshoot the issue.
Might seem unrelated but check if you have any G-1000 replacement mods by Jaydee or PMS installed. And clean your rolling cache.
The Garmin G1000 NXI download in content manager needs to state “installation available”, not “up tp date”. You don’t need it.
I had the same problem but reloading the flight fixed it.
When I uninstalled the G1000 nxi, then everything works fine. Thanks for the help.
