Is there a keypress to show the frame rate on screen

You can display your FPS by enabling Developer Mode (Options > Developers) then selecting “Show FPS Display” under the options toolbar you get at the top. Please do keep in mind this is the developer FPS display, meaning its not the prettiest of them all. Its mainly designed to show FPS + other technical details.
For a clean FPS display you will need to use a third-party software. I know for Nvidia cards, GeoForce experience has an overlay built-in that you can setup to show FPS.
