I always thought Meigs didn´t have an ILS. Indeed it is possible to implement it. Will look for reference and implement it in the next update. Do you have a link to those old charts?

Hello, I have lost Meigs Field. I have seen it today, so I suppose it will be due to sim update 3.
I have the Ichankal mod installed, but I have also tried the free version of the GuillermoZS mod. With none it appears, neither as an airport, but neither as a scenery (buildings, etc), there is the default setting of the fs with the actual park
I have several airports installed (especially of Spain) and they work ok.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

If it’s a mod; give the author of the mod time to update it, and once released, you’ll have to install the updated version.

But it is strange, because I tried with two differents mods…I don`t need to update any other mod (airports, cities, planes…) that I have installed…
You’ve been lucky. Most mods require constant updates

Expect all mods to break on patch day. If they don’t break, you got lucky.

Yes it is strange but things like that happen all the time. The fact that two different mods have the same problem shows that something changed in the original scenery that keeps the mods from appearing.

It’s the only way of looking at it. It’s a risk that always comes with installing mods, not just in flight sims, but in any game.

But the two versions? It is not that it works badly, or have bugs, or it causes CTD, it is that it does not appear
That’s how the scenery SDK works… A CTD is usually a memory issue.

Don’t need to report to Zendesk. Zendesk is for problems with the base vanilla sim only. They can’t help you with mods, and your ticket will be swiftly closed stating as much.

Just after doing the 1.14.5 upgrade with a temporarily empty Community folder, I moved the old Meigs folder from Temp back into Community. The airport would not load. Supposedly the author had tweaked the files so we would not have to reload Meigs after each upgrade. Apparently this tweak did not work for 1.14.5.0. I have downloaded the author’s most recent freeware version Meigs v1.6, unzipped, and copied the unzipped folder back into the Community Folder as I have always done after each Asobo update. Still no joy. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I really miss the airport. I used it as my home base. I hesitate paying for the professional version of Meigs for fear I will have the same problem. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well it looks like I was mistaken (still learning IFR). Meigs did not have an ILS but they did have a VOR/DME approach based on O’hare and a GPS approach.
This is where I got 109.90 from, but that appears to be the ORD localizer. I’ll keep looking for info on the VOR and GPS approaches.

The following is some of my old FSX documentation pertaining to Meigs airport: “There’s a VOR near the airport on the frequency 109.40 for the approach on runway 36. If the active is 18, you can use the VOR to enter the traffic pattern.”
