Change the Texture Resolution setting to Medium, then close MSFS and relaunch it. I had similar issues with my HP G2 when using motion reprojection and this setting appears to be the key.
Thanks. I’ll try it. But the matter is that only this plane brings problem. Never expected this casual bush plane could do that while complex airliners are okay. I believe some optimization works are needed for VR use. Thanks again for your help.
Lowering the texture resolution may or may not work for you. I’m sort of curious if it will though.
I’ve experienced a lot of instances in which I’m limited by main thread when flying in VR with motion reprojection enabled. This occurs primarily when near 3rd party sceneries. I’ve also noticed this same issue when flying 3rd party addon planes when using some liveries, and not when using other liveries. My hypothesis is that use of 4k PBR textures is the item that is overloading my system and I’ve seen much better performance when lowering the texture resolution setting to medium.
I recall reading somewhere that MSFS’s native scenery and planes use 2k textures. 3rd party add-ons generally use 4k textures because buyers perceive them as “must haves.” I think this causes an imbalance in the sim that can only be “fixed” by lowering the overall texture resolution.
I may be off base, but this is what seems to work for me. I’ve also received comments for other users in other threads who’ve said it helped them as well. Curious to see if it helps you.
It is now included in Mod Manager. Let me know if it works out!
Sorry RunShotgun, are you talking about an option to have lower model resolution for VR?
The VR prop mod works great! Thank you for including it as an option.
You get 2 aircraft, different engine variants and new sceneries. It’s worth $30
From a dev standpoint i am sure it is worth it. And if one uses all the included content i am sure it is. However i see 1 plane that comes with 2 variations.
Personally i care very little for addon scenery like the two air strips and roleplay stuff like the tents and engine covers, simply because yes it looks good but asside from 1-2 times i wil never use it.
I look at it solely for the plane and i personally not going to spend 30 on a system wise relatively simple plane even though the textures etc look amazing. If you would offer a version wihout the scenery for a few euros less it would be a lot more interesting for me personally.
It works! Your hypothesis might be right. Thanks for your help.
Hello, thanks for your active customer service. Where can I find the prop mod you mentioned? I already adjusted prop texture files by myself but feel it would be better to have genuine mod by the developer.
Thanks for information. Is it also available for the in-game store version?
Not at this time.
We’re looking into making those available via flightsim.to in the coming days.
Got it. Will wait. Thank you.
will the Foxes be getting the SU9 CFD treatment?
I appreciate all the work put into developing this stunning looking model, but,
Is there any chance of a traditional instruments option for cockpit, would really like to buy this, but I don’t like glass cockpits.
When the new CFD is stable and applied to a significant portion of the default aircraft lineup. We expect at least a few months for that to happen.
We have observed issues in past updates where new features kept changing and breaking (visual effects is a good example). For something as important as the aircraft’s physics and behavior, we want to make sure the experience is as consistent as possible for current owners of the aircraft.
I bought the plane few days ago and I can say it really mixed up my fligth habit, it’s a true joy to be able to land pretty much everywhere (also dig a lot the tent and i think the sound are well made while the exterior model is very nice)
one thing i really dislike it’s the garmin unit (i really hate this version of the garmin in the sim, it feels pretty much useless) but that’s no plane fault
also i don’t know if it’s normal that it feels so left wing heavy, it keeps banking to the left even with no wind and it get a lot of right rudder to keep it straight
