Hiya,
This is on purpose (floating) because projected meshes don’t have the texture resolution needed. Hopefully this will be addressed shortly!
In some places they float about a meter above the runway so it looks very strange :-).
Also you can only see them last moment, on late final they are invisible and they are visible last moment when you have to turn off the runway.
Before the update these issues didn’t exist.
Here you can’t see the taxi center lines from a short distance:
