I have experienced two issues with the game and searching various posts have not given me any solutions.
The first issue is that periodically the game will freeze for 5-10 seconds, the keyboard, mouse and x56 hotus system shut down, as well as the opentrack ir system. the computer chimes as if the devices were disconnected. They will stay off for just a few seconds before turning back on and game resuming.
This isnt a constant thing but seems to happen on takeoff and landing. Task manager doesnt show the cpu or gpu being above like 60% at any point. Ive shut off Bluetooth, wifi and my pc is connected via ethernet ii also have fps limited to 30. One suggestion was that it could be overdrawing power via usb ports. I have a 600 watt power unit built with the pc. I have not noticed the keyboard or hotus system shut down playing something like dcs.
A second issue I discovered last night was that my rolling cache was set to .5 which seems tiny. I tried changing it to 8, 10, 20, 50, 80 and each time I save and the game applies the changes it crashes to desktop. The ssd the game is on has like 180gb of open space. I am able to make changes to graphic settings without a crash but not any data setting.
PSU’s become less efficient over time, so you may find that a PSU that worked reliably for a while begins to struggle after a few years.
Which graphics card are you running?
I have the x56 hotas, logitech pro rudder peddals, the grass monkey ir headset and sensor, LG 27" UltraGear Gaming Monitor. I also have the gaming mouse and keyboard that came with the pc but nothing else added. I also have settings for graphics set to the recommended levels based the nvidia driver.
Computer specs are |Processor:|AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

Do yourself a favor and get an externally powered USB Hub and this will go away.
Also, go into Device Manager, expand the USB Hubs / Devices, right click each, select properties then under the Power Management tab ensure “Allow USB Suspend” is turned off. For all of them.
As for rolling cache, if you have a good, stable internet connection, turn it off as there is no need and is known to cause stutters.
Been running one since the first week of the sim as I was having the exact same issues and the guys I fly with all have them so I ordered the same one and never a problem since.
Have never had ghost input, lag, etc…
Get a good one, not the cheap isignia, etc… Best buy brands and you’ll be fine.
