Hello all,
Been having some trouble with loading. Everytime I want to fly from a selected airport, the loading sequence freezes. However, when flying from discovery flights…it loads fine or select flight in mid-air. Am at a lost. Any suggestions?
Are you giving it time to recover? Since several SUs ago it’s done the same for me, but eventually it sorts itself out.
Have left it for 20 mins and nothing. Checked the process in task manager as says its not responding.
Maybe it’s trying to load something it doesn’t like, or is broken. Have you tried it in safe mode?
For some reason, can never get it to go into safe mode. have deleted the latest mods which I thought maybe be affecting but no different
To get to Safe Mode, stop the sim using Windows Task Manager.
The next time you start the sim, you will be prompted to use Safe Mode.

I’ve never run into that, I suspect it may not have gotten far enough into loading the sim.
Did you try renaming your Community Folder and then trying to start the sim?

Thank you soo much TheSevenflyer…that has worked!. How weird is that by renaming the Community folder cured the problem. All this time I had wondered whether it was third party mod or my settings gone awol. Thanks to you…you saved my bacon

Ok what that proved, is that there is a mod conflict.
Now you need to find out what that was.
The sim has made a new empty Community folder, put your addons back a few at a time.
Once the sim acts up again, you know that group contains the culprit.

I’ve found the culprit. Is one of two third party liveries I had for FBW Salty 747 so I deleted both. Thank you once again for this forum and TheSevenflyer for his/her help. Almost close to reinstalling the entire game which consume many hours of downloading…knowingly it takes one simple file to corrupt the many. Take note, be careful when you download multiple third party files and install at any one time. Install one by one so you know…

I’ve also discovered that after downloading the latest FBW development version, the Southoakco-realeffectsa320 files also affects the loading of FS2020, which means that is not compatible…well on my my PC anyway . Just a suggestion to consider

I‘m stuck in the same issue. But meanwhile I have tried everything I could imagine. From clear community folder to checking all updates and log out off all online services and etc. Finally I did a reinstall of the flightsim. But even that didn’t fix the problem. Any ideas?
I hope MSFS 2024 will be free of such ridiculous issues…
Do you use the Rolling Cache?
If so, have you emptied it lately?

Thanks for the link. Didn’t know it yet. However the problem could for the moment be solved. After a CTD in the neverending loading screen, the option to start in „safe mode“ was shown (which didn’t show up after ALT F4 or end the app via the task manager). In safe mode the flight sim started again and after that even in the normal
mode. Now trying to reinstall the mods again.
Is there an option to force the safe mode if it should happen again?
Those are the only two ways.
If the sim isn’t far enough along in the loading process, it won’t trigger the prompt for Safe Mode.
Why it wasn’t triggered at this loading state was nevertheless strange. As sometimes I get the safe mode message when quitting the sim in the first loading screen (before selecting an aircraft etc.). But hey: for the moment all works again (until the next „unexpected failure“
