FS 2020, 95 Gig Update - unable to download

Despite following numerous suggestions of others I am unable to load the Update. I am hung at 60 gigs remaining. I have rebooted several times throughout the day but to no avail. I would appreciate any offers of advice or suggestions. This process in incredibly frustrating ! Thanks. Doug

same here I gat 72 gb left but doesnt proceed

Welcome to the Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums! Here are some steps I recommend you follow:

  1. Open “cmd.exe” as Administrator and insert these two commands without the quotes:

    • “sfc /scannow”
    • “ipconfig /flushdns”

  2. Reboot, and restart FS2020 as Administrator!

Frustrating - isn’t it ? I have run out of ideas so hopefully someone at Microsoft takes notice. Do you have the Basic package or Premium?

Thanks AReal Ghost but unfortunately that suggestion was unsuccessful. I am hung on the Content Manager screen at 59.97 GIB remaining with a spinning wheel in the corner. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Perhaps I delete the app and start over? (I would prefer not !). Thanks.

Same here, tried several times gets stuck on 74.39 GB. One time got to preference menu, looked really clumsy like debug mode or something. Then got stuck again, now perpetually stuck at updating 74.39 GB, sometimes says 59.97 GB really random. I have the premium version and I have 859 GB available on drive D.

I startet with installing the Standart Box Version at 8 pm.
10 DVDs… Then 1GB Update… Restard the Sim and now more 16gb to download.
My internet Connection is 25mbit…truly slowly.
12gb to go… I think i go to bed now.
I hope it’s playable in the morning.

When stuck at 59.97GB or 74.39GB download, does your progress bar indicate “Decompressing or Downloading package fs.1.0.3.fsbase.022”? (just an example)

yeah i have this problem but have benn unable to fix

same here cant download after 60 gb it is stuck at “downloading fs-base-0.1.74.fspatch”. It is just reverting back to the start of the download of the same file.

mines only at 15 gb

Really hope mine dont get stuck. With only 1GB per hour it will be ages before i get to near the end of download.

Good, Im not going to restart mine i dont think as it may be just unpacking files.
Sunday lunchtime is when i will check mine again

well the problem is is that its restarting the fsbase download so i really dont know what is going ont

Did you buy in M$ store? If so , did you download the digital licence too? Just a thought.

sounds to me u might just have to uninstall everything and re download it all… eeeek… if rebooting didnt help… im not a fan of resuming paused downloads doesnt usually go well for me personally. For those that haven’t rebooted anything and still dont see any movement on the install, just be patient, my install took another hour just to decompress the big downloads and that was on an SSD so it might just be taking a long long time to get that 1 single file downloaded… Obviously if you been sitting for 2 hours on the same file thats not normal.

Im the same, I updated everything and paused windows update.
Mine should take 4 days to download. Wont be switching off or using pc for anything else. Just hope leaving alone will get a clean install. Fingers crossed.
Did all windows updates and M$ updates,

i got it with the game pass
plus the download goes great up untill the fs base
