Brief description of the issue:
In controls Keyboard Default all the key bindings refer to joystick buttons, see attached image. This behaviour is not consistent, a couple of times the assignments were the correct default ones. Input to the search bar is also reversed, some times (second letter appears to the right of the first etc etc). I have tried different keyboards and different usb ports, no change.

Start FS2020 and do optins > controls select keyboard
