It may be a tad expensive for some but I couldn’t live without FS Realistic now. It just adds so much. Even if things aren’t necessarily always completely realistic, more often than not the sounds and visual shakes are what you think you’d expect to experience in a plane. Its just so much more immersive than vanilla.
It does make you realise how much Asobo kind of did the bare minimum of sound design for the base sim. A lot of what is in FS Realistic should really have been in the sim as standard I think. Anyway, either way its a must have in my opinion.
Even if your answer was meant for EngageAcrobat81 I also want to chime in: unfortunately I didn’t get the base version of the plugin before since my last machine was an I7 2700K with a GTX1060. So my options moneywise and performancewise were very limited Since 6 weeks I own a system which is universes better, so of course I start to check for additional gimmicks.
But I still have to get used to the fact that for example, a study level plane or a certain plugin costs as much or even more than a full price gaming title. I haven’t been into simming for 2 decades because I was alwaysd lacking the funds for decent equipment, especially controls like joysticks, throttles or pedals. And also because since the mid 2000s every developer jumped the fast food console hype train, so not much good stuff was around except Prepar3D and X-Plane. But I’m willing to learn
As far as I can judge it, Asobo had this vision of building more of an SDK which is constantly updated and extended, rather than a completely readymade game. They also talked about this in that demeanor in a couple of hands-downs if I remember correctly. So they wanted to open a portal for a market which has already proven to be very innovative, vibrant and at the same time supports some devs who are putting a lot of hard work into their projects and bring them to (almost) perfection.
This of course doesn’t excuse the rushed release back in 2020 with all the bugs coming up, being fixed and at the same time creating new ones. But if I compare the game back to when I bought it (around 18 months ago) it has become way better and much more stable. This sim has started to age in a decent way and I think it’s only at the beginning.
Not sure only the issue on my side: I use FSRealistic 2.0 for Fenix A320, when I play with knobs on MCP (eg. altitude scale, …), the cockpit always translates up or down slightly. Turn FSRealistic off or disable, I have then no more issue. Could you please take a look at the issue?
My guess would be that this is caused by the breathing simulation. Yes, that’s a thing! You can disable it or tone it down just like all the other effects.
I don’t think FSRealsitic has a large overhead for performance though. Or am I mistaken? I don’t have a great CPU either and have run this for a long time without noticing any drawbacks until the SU9 freezing problems. I guess it COULD be a compound effect of having this running in the background (I’ll have to try without) but I don’t think it matters.
guys, what i see on youtube scary me, is it force you to adjust all ac you fly or do that atomatically like accu-sim does in p3d/fsx? i just don’t want landing in cessna and listen a320 bumping/brakes or hear double over-g effects from msfs and fs realistic. actually i need only one effect - buffeting at overspeed and at critical aoa and may be some vibration/turbulence with opened canopy/windows and may be some bump at landing and may be some sound from surfaces lol well. not one effect hahaha
If there are available profiles for the aircraft it will load one. You can also create a personal profile to use as default with just the effects you want.
There is a 7 day free trial just download it and see if it works for you.
thank you. i seen about opportunity to use it free. but i really lazy. the more live the more lazy:) about profiles interesting, but how many profiles, exist there’s profiles for 3rd party ac? about default i don’t think is my way. because i flight different warbirds from ww2 to modern. and love some light ga. most of them 3rd party that’s not all of them has must have(for me) buffeting before stall and overspeed. but i really thinking to create default only with that effect and add some other to profiles. any way i stay thinking this situation is not right. when people out of msfs makers create obviously stuff, that must be inside out of the box like seasons and effects. about effects it’s may be can be added by ac addons. example today purchase new toy velocity xl - no buffeting. but i feel i have to buy this addon for stop thinking about this because this is work too hahahaha. but as i said i afraid to do exist model worst than was, because i’m not real pilot. i am groot. and i do need ac model good
p.s. and i have an idea. if you guys add that it would cool and will worth to get it in any way. headphones simulation sound in game really bad. first i can not disable it in flight without go in menu, second i almost don’t hear engine but stay hear fuel pump. i know it loud as said pilots, but i don’t think it’s more loud than engine(s) so would be cool if this thing will modeled as it should be and can be disabled by using trigger ctrl+shift+f12 or whatever.
The profiles on the profile cloud are uploaded by other users. There are five for the Warrior for example and seven for the Sting S4. Some are better than others. Some are good some are pretty ordinary.
You can create customise profiles for each aircraft you own, but to be honest if you lack the time and/or motivation to install a free trial to test the product you are unlikely to create your own custom profiles for each of your aircraft. it may not be the best product for you.
with all my lazyness my motivation ending only because i’m not real pilot and have no idea how it should be, so i need effects that will created for cub or porter by cub or porter pilots, that’s only one stuff that stop me, and that’s why i love a2a models makers - they are pilots and perfectionists, i’m not, but i very love use stuff, that created by pilots and perfectionists lol

May I ask a question about the camera movements? Back when I bought the Core version, I believe we were told the camera movements were something of a work in progress. But we were told that better dynamic camera movements would be available once the sim was more fleshed out, perhaps waiting for an API.
Now we have the Pro version, and it is so much better than it was before. But as far as I know none of those awaited sim camera functions have been improved.
So did you just find another way to do things, working within what the sim currently offers, and is that likel y to change in future once this API is released?
Hey Captain, we are not supposed to provide support via this channel, so if you will have more questions, please feel free to contact us at fsrealistic@gmail.com.
Per your question, it looks like MSFS SDK is indeed getting some minor improvements over the last couple of months in the camera aspect. This is very early at this point and we expect them to open other capabilities soon - which then we will take full advantage of it and show off our effects in an even better way.
