My apologies if this has been asked somewhere else, I’ve done a lot of searching and I haven’t been successful in solving my issue.
I’ve installed Microsoft Flight Simulator and have been itching to play it for a long time, but whenever I attempt to play it I get the following black boxes:
I have installed fresh and have attempted to use the default settings. I’ve tried tweaking as many of the settings as I can - HDR10 isn’t enabled - although it is greyed out as “On” but from what I’ve read this just appears to be a visual bug
My PC isn’t amazing but should be able to play this:
-16GB RAM
-i5 CPU
-AMD Radeon R9200 / HD 7900 Series
I would update drivers first, but like @GONEFLYING1234 mentioned, these indications are sometimes hardware related (in my experience at least). So swapping cables, changing inputs, re-seating your graphics card, etc. Does it happen in any other CPU / GPU intensive game? Could run a hardware test or benchmark stress test to see if it duplicates.
Hardware test (mdsched.exe did report a Memory problem)
Reseating Memory & Graphics card
Everything works perfectly fine when I play games such as Rust - I’ve only noticed this issue on FS2020, although with that said I’ve noticed Youtube is now displaying green lines when I watch videos so as you guys have said it looks like a hardware issue - Thank you for all your help
