FS2024: 707 unresponsive to flight controls

Asobo 707 doesn’t respond to flight controller inputs

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Constant.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Assign a throttle and yoke to the aircraft.
  2. Load the 707 into a flight
  3. Note that Yoke on screen moves with your controller, but the aircraft itself does not respond. No aileron or elevator movement in the external model. No control of aircraft from the yoke input.

I think 2024 uses DX12

Confirmed. And if you start on the runway, the engines shut down. (And the LE slats still aren’t fixed.) The 707 is completely unflyable, despite being one of the few LL/FF planes that’s “2024 native” and included with the most expensive edition.

I’m reminded of Sierra’s Outpost at this point.

I have since discovered that if you enable the fuel levers at the base of the throtttle quadrant, the engines will restart. Then turn on the hydraulic pumps at the engineer’s station, and you’ll have flight controls.

Thanks so much for this tip! So it’s the flight config file for the “ready on runway” stup, not the actual aircraft. That’s useful.

Can’t believe it shipped this way, though, and the slats still didn’t get fixed given the model has the animations. Sigh.
