I have the same issue. The toe Brakes worked for a couple of flights, but then it stopped working. When I load msfs2020, they work. I go back to msfs2024, still does not work. I see this problem has been around for years, and I have not seen any solid solution. I am using a Velocity One Rudder on an Xbox. Any thoughts?
My routine to prevent this is to leave the V1F unplugged before starting 2020, and plug in taking care to not accept the dialogue box offer to reset it to defaults (so as to not lose my own settings). While I have not been doing this in 24, perhaps it might be necessary to avoid not having toe brakes on that first flight of the day? Since it is intermittent for me in 24, I haven’t decided yet. YMMV

This is the most frustrating issue. I have absolutely no clue what is causing it. Never once had this issue in 2020, but ai’m getting it all the time now in 2024 while beta testing. Only happens when ai load up into the gate cold/dark.
02-2025 — Still having the issue of no toe brakes in c172 in career mode. Some times I have full brakes and they work wonders and others I have no brakes. I have noticed the times I have no brakes the plane struggles to get up to speed on the runway as well during takeoff.
Hardware — Thrustmaster hotas one with rudder controls.
Have you also noticed the times when you have no brakes. It feels like you have little ground turn control with the rudders?
Hello everyone. I have the Logitech pro rudder pedals and when fbreake the 737MAX 8 from Asobo on shorter runways the breakers don’t have sufficient power to stop the plane. I’ve tried to do different experiments with the keybinding but no luck yet. Does anyone have an idea on how to resolve this?

I am finding brakes on any aircraft are insufficient to stop. The only way to stop is with parking brake at the moment. Hopefully this is addressed in the near future.
Using toe brakes with Saitek Cessna Pro Rudder control
I have setup a button on my thrustmaster T 16000m for the brakes this works fine for me.
And this is how i set it up
Notice input repetition, device input overide ( which trickers the following)
Input value ( in here you can set the strength the higher the number the stronger the brake power) i have set 0.34
I dont know if this goes for toebrakes for i do not use any atm
If toebrakes is working on potmeter or sensor
you can try device input value overide and or tweak action curve
As program them as left brake axis and right brake axis
Also you can try same steps for left brake and right brake
