I’ve “soft” tested the dynamic FPS and it works. What I mean by that is I adjusted my settings to mostly get about 30 fps, but would dip down into the 20s. With it on, it does good job of keeping a steady 30
What I haven’t done is go bonkers with the setting, resulting in 7 fps, and expecting it to get me to 30. So, I basically gave it a realistic target and it did a good job. I think that’s what it was designed to do, so that’s how I’m using it.
I’ve now gone one step further and combined it with a 30 fps cap; the sim is now impressively smooth (for me, YMMV).
To recap, it works if:
- You tune your settings to give it a realistic target
- Enable it
- Combine with framerate cap.
