I wish MS or Asobo would make a Truck Simulator. (off topic, at the speed SCS builds a world would take hundred years) Graphically it is a cartoon compared to FS.
What is '“Auto-gen” for TLOD?
Not sure what you are referring to specifically, but autogen usually means automatically generated objects, most commonly buildings (but also trees and other stuff).
Standard buildings, trees, not photogrammetry ones I suppose.

In FS2024 SU4 you have the choice between Medium & High, so somehow it has been fixed (don’t know when).
Nevertheless in FS2020 you have 2 extra settings: Low & Ultra
