FS2024 has saved me $$$!

Have only purchased three add-ons since the release of FS2024–about $30. Usually, I spend about $100-$150/month on airports and planes. Have not spent much since the release. Won’t buy anything for 2020 anymore and very little is available for 2024. Not great for the hobby because I enjoy exploring new scenery and learning new planes but nice to save the $$$.

Kind of surprised we have not seen more scenery updates…

Because no-one wants to develop for it until it stabilises. I’m sure after a sim update or two, we’ll see more coming.

Maybe. I think that is definitely the case for the planes. Not sure stability is the issue for airports. In my case, SU1 BETA is a big improvement.

Looking forward to 2024 native/improved versions of JFK, LAX, TNCM, EHAM, EGLL, LGA, and DCA!

The only thing I may buy in the future before 2024 is stable is the upcoming A2A Aerostar and that is assuming its a 2020/2024 release.

I removed FS2020 so only buying for FS2024 now. Hopefully, the Ini A350 comes out soon. And, the PMDG 737/777 are not too far off. Those are big for me.

Fortunately, most of the 2020 airports seem to work now.

There isn’t even the market place implemented yet, we gotta be a little patient i guess.

I know, a lot of 3rd party stuff is / was available in their respective webshops as well, but there is a bit of uncertainty with FS24 as of now:

For example how will 3rd party aircraft purchased on their websites interact with career mode if not purchased in the in-game store?

Also i remember when FS24 dropped a lot of 3rd parties been making statements about how development for 24 turned out harder than originally thought and that MS / Asobo need to change a few things (i’m not good with the technical stuff and can’t remember details), which i think they’re doing…

Give it some time, our hangars will be broaden, and tbh i was pretty ■■■■ amazed by a lot of stock scenery coming with FS24 already… If it works as intended, it’s absolutely stunning compared to FS20 imho.

Same here. My purchases have nearly evaporated! Some silver lining for my pocketbook, at least. I don’t even really have a wishlist anymore because of the uncertainty over releases. The only thing on the horizon I plan to buy is the cheap upgrade to the FS2024 version of the Juice Goose to get some offroading in with the new terrain and features of the new addon. Other than that I suspect some of the addons I was really anticipating will be many months away given the state of the sim.

I removed fs2024 instead worst buying of the last years😂

I am still using FS2020 and opening FS2024 on occasion to see if anything has been “fixed”. Still praying for some improvements.

Definitely running better since the SU1 BETA if you stick with the Fenix or IniBuilds A3xx. Smooth and mostly no major headaches. Still some weirdness where it forgets which plane/livery you used last and I keep having to re-enable live weather. But, it is not crashing on me or forgetting the control settings all the time.
