yes I have now still FS5 complete original paper book which is perfect! I think I have on that time first DX4-100 Intel and really now not remember good that time but when I had first Voodoo v1 and comes FS98 that was perfect with texture system and of course 206 Jet ranger
No, fellow. This is the less problematic and more complete version of this genre, including X Plane and P3D. Also, the most kind and responsible/communicative team of developers. The potential of this version is incredible and I consider myself a luck man to participate of this progress
I disagree. I reckon this simulator is more problematic in the current state it’s in.
The release contained a number of bugs for features that were advertised for the game. A number of these bugs were identified during the alpha and beta testing, but weren’t corrected for release. A release like this back in the FSX days, where regular and large sized online updates weren’t common or practical to the average user, would have left this simulator dead at launch. They’ve pushed 2 updates in a month. I think FSX had two updates across its life.
The developers have had to catch up on communication due to the pressure from the consumer. When this game was released, their known issues list had a bunch of installation issues and notes about achievements not working. The community wanted other issues fixed and transparency that those issues were being flagged, since they weren’t in any known issue list, so they started providing development updates.
The development update from 10th September had a long list of things that were getting updated. They were not specfic at all, it was merely an all encompassing list such as aircraft updates, avionic updates. Vague and not really informative.
I agree this simulator has a lot of potential. It also has a lot of bugs. I presently cannot get through a flight without encountering one, whether it be UI related, aircraft system/avionics related or missing components, or up until previously, weather related. Asobo are working through bugs, but a lot of issues reported still don’t appear on a consumer end bug list, so it’s very difficult to tell what they’re working on.
Another thing to consider is how many people have bought the game vs how many are complaining. Typically people visit the forums to complain when they have problems, or want to complain. Watching the forums you’d think the software was a flop because of this. The number of people not visiting to complain would suggest otherwise.
I think the main reason for this agression is the experience and frustration with more and more developers releasing incomplete products, making the customers test it while the prices increase every year. Also many youtubers claimed something different to what we have now which certainly does not help trusting MS and Asobo.
