About the event

Hello everyone… let’s head to Oceania, and more specifically, just over Australia, this “tiny” island called “New Guinea”. Not such a small island actually. In fact it’s even cut in two parts. Just like this incredible, adrenaline filled, journey.

So, welcome to part one of flying across the New Guinea aboard your fourth-generation (or above) jet fighter.

The island, the two countries sharing this land (remember the island is split in half?) is absolutely gorgeous. The best place on earth for bush flights. And at 400 knots, the bush flight will be intense.

If you take a look at the 780 NM flight plan, you will see there are more than 170 waypoints… This will require active piloting, going inverted above some mountains to better dive in the valley just behind, deploy your speed brakes before you get too much airspeed, so you can manage the hard turn coming right at you with a moderate 4 or 5Gs.

There will be more relaxing sections, but don’t get too much used to it and also, watch for your landings. If most of them are not difficult, the shortest runway of this Part 1 ride, will be 3200 feet long. Not much extra space for our incredible machines, so you’d better not come in too fast!

Take-off is at 19:00 UTC. The flight time will be about 2.5 hours long and we will make a 10 minute break at AYBU. And as always with Flight Sim Break, Join when you can, leave when you must!

And rendezvous next week for the second and last part of this event! One last thing: this event will mark my 1 year annivesary as a FSB Group Flights host! If anyone wants to join the team and make us discover new paths, new areas of the world, you are very welcome!
