FWIW, I was also having a problem with huge delays just launching the FSDT Installer. I read (I thought it was here) that you should add the FSDT folders to the exclusion list for MS Defender so it isn’t trying to do real-time scanning on all those little files.
I did that and “bam!” HUGE improvement in load times for FSDT Installer. Excluding the folder from scanning reduced my load times for the installer from well over 2 minutes to right around 20-30 seconds.
Quick question - Where does GSX get the info from to determine which crew uniform and language to use for flight attendants and boarding sounds?
Reason - I modified (crudely!) an Iberia livery to my own personal livery. I have removed all references to “Iberia” in the aircraft.cfg file, used a different callsign etc in MSFS and Simbrief, but the cabin crew still wear Iberia uniforms and speak Spanish to the passengers. I would like them to wear any default non branded uniform and speak English as they did before airline uniforms were introduced.
I need some help. Since the last update of Fenix A320, GSX doesn’t recognize the doors as open, despite they are open. I’ve tried all, even check and uncheck the box they said in the GSX installer. Do you know how can I fix it?
This has been explained on Fenix site: since after the recent update, all door IDs has changed, you must remove every custom profile for the Fenix A320 made before the update from %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplanes, so the new updated profile from Fenix will be used.
I haven’t had any issues with the actual installer load times but I did add this folder anyway then did the update from 3.1.0 to 3.1.2. The time to do so was… also 5:50 again
@Umberto67 Would it possible to have ground crew skin colour customised by region? It feels a bit weird when I land in the middle of Africa and every bloke on the ground is white :). We already have regions for ground vehicles so it should not be difficult to use it for ground crew.
I was hauling some cargo in the new 727F out of FSDT Louisville today and when loading the aircraft via GSX a ramp door opened and containers were fetched from the inside of the building. A really neat detail.
How do I initiate refueling on 777 33ER. When I import the simbrief plan, fuel amount also gets imported and I keep getting message to specify the fuel quantity?
Should I do simbrief import after getting the message or just change the fuel quantity to a notch higher? Before the integration on Fenix that made life so much simpler, I used to enter fuel on MCDU when prompted by GSX.
When I flew the 777 last night I had the same issue, GSX kept beeping at me to set the fuel, I tried doing this in the FS Action menu which wouldn’t stop the message to set the fuel.
Turns out that the way to do it (in my case) was after you set the route in the FMC you have the option in the INIT page to “SET PAYLOAD SET FUEL” this is what GSX needed to proceed.
This update won’t install for me. It runs through like it is then finishes but remains at v3.1.2. I’ve tried this a few times now.
EDIT: worked on 4th attempt after a windows reboot and a ‘cancel’ on a jetways update that was staying hung forever. Just about to check the install, but it at least says v3.1.3 now.
I don’t normally see any issues like this with GSX updates.
Yeah not sure what was going on with my GSX update install last night. Got there eventually though. I just picked up the Fenix as I didn’t have the base version previously. The package is superb, and yes I can confirm seated passengers on the a319 now, a super fast service from Umberto. The auto GSX integration in the Fenix is just amazing.
