FSDreamTeam GSX for MSFS

FSDT installer has now been disabled when sim session is running. Fair enough, but I really liked to be able to go and have a quick check of which airports I had GSX world of jetways enabled/disabled at for including when the sim was running. Now there is no way to do this leading to many needless quitting & reboots of sim. Does anyone know how to get around this?

You can look inside the gsx addon that it symlinks into the community folder, somewhere in there (sorry you’ll have to find it yourself) you’ll see the list of airports enabled.

Thank you. Found it, it looks like it has the enabled ones listed in this directory -

And hopefully some a321 seated passengers too?

Ps. Has anyone gone looking in the lavatories in the Fenix? They are just big gaping holes in the fuselage with views down 35000ft! :scream: No flush either!

Who will be the first dev to model working loos?

Sadly there is a technical issue stopping passengers from being available on the A321. GSX say they need extra support from Fenix and Fenix say that is already there and that GSX was told already. I’m sure that they’ll eventually get on the same wavelength and deliver it. Really need those A321 pax (flying a bare A321 right now
).

That’s too bad. Fingers crossed they manage to find a solution.

I keep getting “Waiting for Couatl scripting engine to start
” messages in MSFS.

I installed the latest update earlier today and re-configured GSX for the A3xx series aircraft and have tried reinstalling, via the both installer and live update, but still get the problem.

Any tips that might correct this issue?

I’ve just tried running the “Check” function, from the FSDT Installer and that appeared to spend a fair bit of time checking, downloading and installing stuff, but following that, the couatl service is still failing to start. When I try to run the ‘Start couatl for GSX for MSFS’ file, that gives no response and the service still isn’t loaded?

Edit: It’s sorted. Looks like something had corrupted something in one of the couatl folders, so deleting those and running a check, via the installer, did the trick.

I faced a similar issue after the update and when I tried restarting couatl directly, got a message that the file or directory has been corrupted. Skimmed through FSDT forums and did everything, including adding Addon Manager to anti virus exclusion list, running the update again but nothing worked.

Had to uninstall GSX and then reinstall it which worked. Took a bit of time, but that solved it for me.

If it happens again, just deleting the two couatl folders and then running a check from the installer appears to be a less time-consuming solution.

Having previously run the check function however, before deleting the couatl folders, i was a little surprised that the check didn’t appear to pick up that at least one of the files had somehow become corrupted. Oh well, hopefully it won’t happen again.

Agree - should work in theory. @Umberto67 - what is your perspective?

New update out.

Version 3.1.6 – September 16th, 2024

Hi! Anyone experienced GSX failures with Microsoft ATR?
I just moved from InibuildsA320 to the ATR, and while it worked fine with the A320, with the ATR the Refueling/Catering request won’t initiate. For the Boarding request, I’ll hear the first word lf “Boarding requested”, then GSX crashes
I can then reopen GSX menu, restart Couatl but same will reoccur.

I don’t know where to start to look to nail
down the issue

Thanks

Hello, did you manage to solve this problem?
I’m having the same trouble with my ATR

We identified the problem, and it’s caused by having configured an Embedded stairs with a blank XML expression (that’s a conditional Embedded stair).

We’ll fix it in the next update, since this configuration should be possible but, in the meantime, you can fix it by editing the airplane profile, click the main exit, and type this in the blank text area next to the “Embedded Stair” checkmark:

1

Just 1, then save the changes. Since this expression always return non-zero, it will configure the Embedded stair as a non-conditional stair, one that is always used.

Getting the dreaded Unhandled Exception dialog when trying to Config GSX after this update. I posted in the Discord
two others seem to have this.

— End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown —
at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.AsyncMethodBuilderCore.<>c.b__6_0(Object state)

I’m not seeing this, it all went ok for me. Maybe try runing a check on your installation?

Config page was reachable for me and I toggled the 3 Fenix variants off then back on again and hit close. Will check out the A321 tomorrow morning.
