Release Notes: “Fixed a problem with Passengers not visible when Boarding on a Gate where the Rear stairs have been Disabled by the airport profile.”
No. You don’t need the rear stairs. Strange, I never saw this issue. I have reconfigured several gates with the rear stairs disable and I think I have always seen the passengers.

It’s really too bad much of the first week after GSX came out, their team was dealing with coincidental but totally unrelated widespread CTD’s caused by MSobo’s screwy online services infrastructure, combined with whatever mistakes they may have been making with their content distribution system. Because now that a lot of that has died down, they’ve been able to push through a lot of little tweaks and fixes, and added several aircraft profiles at user-request. Today in fact, they’ve pushed out a couple different content updates within a matter of hours as things have been discovered.
It’s a ton of fun when it’s all working right.

Thanks, looks like it has been updated which is great. About half my flightsim.to profiles have nopassengerstairs = 0
set to make the people show, but it’s not needed anymore and more a historical thing.
It is and the GSX people got pretty unlucky with their launch timing. The rate of fixes/tweaks seems really high, about 4 patches a day at least.
Looks like the -800 BCF and BSDF profiles are good to go now, too.
Love the details inside this transparent container.

You might be right about marketplace airports, but for all the rest, it is simply not true, no matter what you claim. I thought the same as you and specifically asked this in the FSDT forum, where Umberto insisted that it is NOT necessary to adjust the path in the .ini. He even pointed to the manual, where on page 46 is written: “The name of the .BGL used to customize the scenery is listed in the [GENERAL] section of the GSX .INI profile. It will include the complete path valid for your system but, don’t worry, there’s no need to edit it out before sharing your work, since GSX will only use the .BGL filename, and will ignore the full path altogether, it has been designed like this exactly to facilitate sharing of GSX .INI profiles without worrying about different paths. As long the currently active .BGL matches the name referenced in the .INI file, the .INI will be loaded by GSX, no matter the path.”
I tested it for about 10 3rd party airports from flightsim.to and they all work without adjusting the path and I have neither MSFS or those 3rd party airports installed in the default locations.
Here is the link to the corresponding thread in the official forums (dont know if this is allowed): Using downloaded profiles
The only thing I can guess about you still having to do the copy paste thing is when GSX fails to find the 3rd party scenery. I did not specifically test this, might be that by chance I so far only downloaded profiles where GSX did find the 3rd party scenery and as such also the correct .bgl.
I fly daily with FENIX Airbus A320 but it works GSX pro became part bigger problem after flight when it stops working feels unstable even the flight simulator also very unstable it runs slow when flying the graphics move slow but is there any way fix it somehow I hope
GSX is a bit complex and will possibly have returning errors when Asobo sends updates to MSFS.
That is a returning problem for all mods during the constant development fase of the sim.
Started getting CTDs now with GSX.
KERNALBASE.DLL I believe.
Anyone know if there is a fix for this?
Just my few comments!
Love the app when it works. Today baggage refueling and pushback at EGAA (with the official fix!) worked perfectly but kept needing a restart when asking for passengers.
Arrived at Bristol and the car arrived and took me to the correct gate, and passengers left ok.
But I cannot believe the developers attitude when folk complain about the update process. It is actually pathetic and in the UK I am still on an ever repeating process. And he says it is a deliberate and wonderful system!
Likewise the menu not staying open. Again a really good deliberate decision!! But in reality a right pain, having to click the menu button twice everytime!
Not the best at customer relations.

Look, I’m not going to argue with you further. What you describe and quote Umberto as saying may be how it’s INTENDED to work for some airport, but it absolutely did NOT work that way at launch and the GSX forums and comments on a lot of GSX profile download pages at flightsim.to are full of people who have to do exactly what I describe. shrug
Took the plunge and bought it today - what is the best way to install it and get the latest version? Is it going with the universal installer or needs some steps after that as well?
What’s this “official fix”?
Now the the initial installation/updating problems seem to be resolved, just run the FSDT Installer program before you launch the sim and hit the Update button just in case. It generally only takes a couple minutes and can run in the background while you’re doing other stuff. Once it’s done, run the sim and you’ll have the day’s (or sometimes the hour’s) most updated files and fixes. Most of the glaring issues are fixed so running once a day for now is probably fine - it kind of depends. Right now, the one thing most people seems to be clamoring for are updated aircraft profiles other than the Fenix, or PMDG products. So stuff like the Maddog, Concorde, Twin Otter, BAE-146, etc. I don’t know if those have been added yet but I expect they will be. So if you’re waiting for those planes, maybe keep updating daily to check. Also, register for their forums and add your voice to those requesting support for specific planes.

Designer of egaa has released the necessary file
As I have just said above, most definitely not fixed!
What is “most definitely not fixed”? Everything I tested works for me personally, except that as of yesterday my fuel billing (even for 20 metric tons of Jet-A) seems stuck at $0.
Multiple repeating updates!
Lots of exclamation marks don’t make your post any more helpful or informative. As for me, I don’t see “multiple repeating updates” - I see the program checking files for newer versions one after another, which is how they explain the process on their forums.
There’s nothing forcing you to try to do it over and over again hoping to see something different.
It looks like a great program. Even more tempting is they have put in South African accents. The regions I fly most are France and South Africa.
However, I came from XBox. There, the sim was unstable or broken much of the time. Enough to make me go to PC. I’m not willing to purchase this yet until the stability factor is like 90%. I don’t want to be back to where I was with XBox, where most of my time wasn’t flying, it was trying to determine reproduce steps so I could report bugs.
So as I’m considering buying it - but held back due to reported issues - Is it now worth buying it? Is it 90% fixed?
