FSDreamTeam GSX for MSFS

When is the next sale for GSX?

Looking forward to the next update adding passengers!! Correct me if I’m wrong, but will we see the passengers board like normal then instead of dispersing they will just start filling seats!?

Also, might be a dumb question, but if you if you have a full flight will all seats be full and if you had say 120 out of 162 will there be the empty seats throughout the cabin??

I have been checking the installer everyday!! Thanks for the work you all do!

Just amazing
Feels sad to see the empty cabin in the Fenix now. Would be great to see it filled with passengers…

Totally agree!!! I never knew how much I’d love this option until I saw the teaser for it! But it’s true, seeing the cabin during flight dark and empty seems off now :joy:

Looking forward to the update!!!

Of course. The number of passengers will be related to both the actual number of passengers in the flight, and by the Passenger Density slider, with the highest setting (ā€œInsaneā€) representing 100%, the others 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%.

As an example, let’s assume the airplane has 180 seats, a flight with 120 passengers will show:

  • 120 passengers at ā€œInsaneā€
  • 96 passengers at ā€œVery Denseā€
  • 72 passengers at ā€œDenseā€
  • 48 passengers at ā€œNormalā€
  • 24 passengers at ā€œSparseā€

So yes, the rest of the seats will be empty, depending on both the passengers number and the Density slider.

We are still not sure if there will be any issues when going much higher than that, like 250-300 pax. It’s not that a performance issue (they are heavily optimized, with up to 9 LOD levels each), it’s more an issue of the max number of simobjects so, maybe we’ll add some kind of cap to their number.

We had about 100 passengers inside the Fenix at the FsExpo.

It’s not coming in the next days. To anybody that asked at the FsExpo, we replied about 2-3 months, and surely before the end of the year.

So, it’s not coming in the next GSX update, but there will be many updates in between so, it’s not as if GSX has stopped the updates waiting for the seated passengers!

I appreciate the detailed reply!! That makes total sense and sounds like it’ll be very optimized! Look forward to the update and can’t wait to have the cabin feel a little less empty hahah

And just for my understanding, if I had my density slider on insane, the number of passengers would match what my Simbrief Ops have for number of passengers??

Like if simbrief was 155, slider on insane, there will be 155 seats filled up?? Sorry if that’s redundant.

I hope there will also be the option to turn this feature off? As you mention, with AI Traffic, AI Ships and complex airport, I do not want another load of simobjects being generated for little to no additional use…

Umberto67 Will GSX Pro support upcoming Fokker F28 from Just Flight natively?

Of course you can turn it off, even if I would turn off ā€œAI shipsā€ first, rather than flying with an empty cabin…

Yes, that’s what I’ve said: ā€œInsaneā€ will be 100% of the planned passengers number, with all the other settings progressively reducing it by 20% each.

No ships :scream:

Your personal preference. If I sit in the cockpit I do look 90% or more out of the cockpit window, not back through the cockpit door to observe the passengers. Besides the fact that the cockpit door should remain closed throughout the flight (in which the passenger numbers anyway should not change  ). So no, for me, AI ship traffic is way more relevant than passengers visible in the cabin (add the fact that not every airplane has a good model of the cabin anyway…).

My personal preference doesn’t really matter. What matters for us, is what most users want, and I can assure you, the two most popular features in GSX, by far are:

  • Pushback

  • Passengers

Why airplane developers spend so much time modeling a (very detailed) empty cabin, if nobody would look at it ? Clearly, seated passengers are the next logical evolution of a concept that started with the VC, evolved into a fully modeled Cabin, so it could only end with seated passengers.

I’d say, without seated passengers, you wouldn’t even need a modeled cabin: the modeling could just stop at the cockpit door.

Seated passengers will be one of the coolest new features brought to this game for a while in my opinion.

Even if I dont sneak peak into the cabin while flying, just knowing the plane is not empty is a real immersion booster.

What most users want is not running into a simobject limit resulting in no scenery being loaded at destination

Users want passengers. Until they run out of sim objects and arrive at an empty destination. Then they want more sim objects. I know I do.

Is the GSX summer sale happening this year?

I haven’t had a lot of time to fly in recent months but I’m off all this week so between yesterday and today, I’ve made 4 flights - one yesterday in the Kuro mod 787-10, and three today in the PMDG 737 (one leg in the -800, two legs in the -900ER). Yesterday things seemed completely normal, aside from having two marshallers - don’t know why the default Asobo marshaller was there but whatever.

In all three flights today, I haven’t had a single marshaller to direct my parking (KDCA, KDTW or KBNA). All three airports are by separate devs (Drziewick, iniScene, FeelThere) and all three have jetways excluded in the FSDT Installer. Boarding/deboarding, loading and unloading baggage, catering services, etc. all worked as normal. Just no parking assistance.

Anyone else run into this and if so, have you figured a work-around?

I had 2 marshallers at LVFR’s LEBL gate 100 yesterday. Jetways excluded of course.

You will get 2 marshallers if you let the msfs atc assign a gate and then select that gate in gsx. Best to only select a gate with gsx
If gsx has a vdgs assigned for a gate there is no marshaller. You can alter this if you want.
