For fixing pink textures, adsm88 wrote this on FSdreamteam forums:
you need to make sure that the livery in the community folder follows the fenix standards. Named as follows: fnx-aircraft-320-xxxx. If you have a livery folder named like FNX_320_IAE_VLGMVN as I had gsx does not recognise it as a livery. I changed the folders name to fnx-aircraft-320-VLGMVN and voila. If you do not see the created by gsx file inside the model folder it just means that gsx has created nothing. But it will work anyways. If you do not have a model folder GSX will write an entry in the aircraft.cfg and create that model folder. So 1 : make sure to have the airline icao entry in the aircraft.cfg and 2. that the folder name in the community folder follows the fenix standards
I just think that this is something that the developers should explain clearly. It took me 2 hours to figure out the GSX logic on this
This and the livery naming is very interesting finding. I take it this could also be the issue Iâm seeing with pink (missing textures) for the crew now.
Seems like itâs getting more complex. Not sure I want to rename all of my livery files. They are hard enough to keep a track of as is. Many livery files are controlled by the installers too (737, maddog etc) so changing the name of those (assuming I find them) could break their link to the aircraft installer.
GSX Pro MAJOR UPDATE: New Crew system, with 16 new different characters, and 227 Airline Uniform variations.
Those unique uniforms presumably have to be called in some way maybe by the same livery / icao in aircraft.cfg method you have discovered. I may go try because as of right now I have pink uniformed crew showing up everywhere.
Just tested the new feature today and I really like it. The aircraft cabin looks much better now. However, having fun with pax is too short for me (only pre-flight phase), they âleavedâ me as soon as the cockpit door closed and the flight starts.
Please give us an option (enable/disable) to have pax in cabin during the whole flight as it should be!
Iâm the one who always visit pax cabin during hour-long flights:
Well I stopped flying it due to perf issues including some bad bugs which crept in over the last patch it got before SU15 was released. Admittedly the seat map if thats what itâs called should be very similar to do. Not sure Iâll want to go back and use it again until itâs fixed though. Assuming it ever is. The FBW is still better option performance wise but alas minus a cabin!
No list but probably FSDT have some internal plan.
The work needed is complex and very invasive, they are basically modifying the aircraft model to make the pax part of the plane itself. This is necessary because having 180 individual passenger objects for the sim to manage while flying would be terminal to FPS in MSFS.
As a result I expect itâs quite time consuming to add more planes and I doubt it will ever be user extendable. Itâs also always going to be impossible to extend encrypted market place planes in this way, so if you bought a PMDG on marketplace youâre out of luck. Is the Ini A320neo encrypted or not? I havenât looked.
This is also why they started with just one plane, and Umberto made it clear that Fenix was first because its developers have made the most effort to integrate with GSX and have provided to best integration so far, so they deserve to be rewarded (and probably cooperated to assist if needed). On that basis we might see other planes with GSX friendly developers next in the list. But we do know that FSDT intend this feature to work for as many planes as possible, including PMDG, and itâs going to take time.
Hmm, I have the same issue, only get the passengers when on the ground, they donât re-spawn when opening the door (and I do not see any passengers in the external view either). Though now that I think about it, it could be related to the setting that disables GSX during the cruise (which I have enabled). Will test again tomorrow with the setting offâŠ
On discord they stated not possible on marketplace planes, even free ones like the ini 320 as the xmls are encrypted and thus cannot be patched up for seated pax. That probably also means never on the pmdg 737 if you bought in the marketplace.
Yes please! And it ticks several boxes: has cockpit door that opens, is not a first party encrypted plane, and also already has extensive GSX integration (albeit not quite at Fenix level). Its cabin is top notch and visible pax would be the cherry on top. Only negative is that its carriers/liveries are almost all historic rather than current crew/uniforms, I guess.
On the return flight (using Fenix), I only got animation for one of the buses, and the 2nd bus passengers did not get out of the bus even though the plane got loaded so half the plane stayed empty and then when I arrived, I got no passenger movement, the buses came and got filled out without any passenger movement, and the passengers stayed in the plane (the half that had been boarded on the departing airport)! Seems like there are still issues that need to be resolved. Love the addition though! Hope is all works out.
Any non-standard livery from Flightsim.to or others needs to be moved into the âFenix liveries folderâ, with the right naming. See in the screenshot how it works with the Vueling IAE livery from flightsim.to, on my system:
With this done, and on version 3.0.2, yesterday it worked like a charm for me.
Passengers disappear when closing cockpit door, but reappear when opening it (even mid flight). You can always see them using drone cam.
FPS hit with / without passengers visible seems not to be too high (may be 4 - 5 fps on my system).
All in all, an amazing improvement, although it should have been better documented how to activate it and its quirks.
