I have returned to trying FSHUD after abandoning it for a while. But at a major airport (KPHX) it makes difference if I have it running or not. Has FSHUD abandoned support for FSLTL? I do see a couple of MSFS default actual airlines (AA and Fedex and Frontier) but I used to get more variety. It also makes no difference whether I change the Settings/Online/ Traffic type in MSFS2024. I get the same type and quantity of planes. I used to use FSLTL and it did much more. What changed?
FSLTL does not support FShud anymore since maybe 2 years ago
That would explain it. Too bad. FSLTL is a good addon.
As @Wilster2070 stated it’s in fact the other way around - it was FSLTLs decision to prevent working with FSHud.
So the next logical question is… is there another free traffic injector that will work with FSHUD? I realize that FSHUD will actually inject the traffic but what addon will give you the variety (and accuracy) of aircraft types, airlines, etc. like FSLTL did? It wasn’t perfect but so much better than default obviously.
I see that FSHUD has a traffic option (paid). Has anyone used it? Does it assign correct liveries, etc?
have you tried with the native live traffic engine?
Well, now I remember why I left FSHUD for a while and tried other things… On approach into Houston KIAH, it tells me to make heading changes that are 90 - 180 degrees apart, not once pointing me in the direction of my runway, and makes these radical heading changes every 10 seconds. It’s crazy. That used to happen, erven in uncrowded airspaces like Tucson. It eventually would get me on the ILS or RNAV path but it was clearly not close to normal. I was hoping it had improved.
I guess I’m still looking for a reliable ATC that doesn’t cost big bucks.
