I think if these airlines were actually that bothered they would just get their lawyers to issue cease and desist letters to any company large or small.
yes and Microsoft has relationships with those airline companies as it is. Those companies would be honored if in MSFS, it is just a failure to communicate that is the issue. Yes Iberia already gave permisson, so did dozens of airlines according to Microsoft. It seems they want ALL or NOTHING.
Well the MOD should be out within next 2 months so that will make it a moot point.
Great news, Sofie!
Although I donât much like the choice of weather in the video, I love the news! I have never looked forward to any other updates to my flight sim as I do this one!
Live traffic with actual liveries is more realism than the scenery in my opinion. An airport building alone is not what makes an airport. Planning to drone around my favorite airports for hours!!
I sincerely thank the team for taking their precious time and tons of effort
put in this project.
May you all be blessed and stay safe in 2021 and beyondâŠ
Theyâre being locked because the mods think a single thread on the project is enough, thatâs all. They want them to use their discord server since it keeps being mentioned it exists, except the FSLTL discord server doesnât have a chat channel.
I think you need to look closer at who is locking which threads. The last big FSLTL post was locked by FSLTL. It is not because someone has a preference for one group over another.
Hi. I really closed the last(main) thread as I did not expect next one being closed, but I canât complain and can understand the Moderators team, as topic was flammable, no problem.
However, I would like to ask the Moderators (how to call a mod properly here?) not to close the next one, it wonât be the release, it will be a dev update thread, but I promise not to make more of them, all future updates will go there. I was not aware of such a limitation/tradition here, Iâm sorry. However we would like to have an active dev thread here, just as everyone else, thank you.
FSLTL was willing to work with anyone and respect their copyrights, to work the same way as AIG did by downloading from the original sources (not repackaging and offering the download from their own servers). FLAi was instrumental to Vatsim. Neither of these deserve the treatment they have got from AIG members.
They want to create content for free, but they donât want others to use it.
FLAi gave them complete acknowledgment and credited their works, yet they chose not to share it, which while completely within their purview, comes across as stroking their own egoâs rather than doing it for a collective sense of community.
Guys please show respect for AIG. This is their property and they are free how this can be distributed. You canât start accusations without knowing the arguments of AIG.
Respect has to be earnt and to be honest the lack of trust and goodwill demonstrated by the AIG group over recent days does not persuade me that I owe then any such thing. If you want to respect AIG, that is your prerogative but as an individual freeware developer that believes that the whole point of it is all about sharing so we all benefit from each others work, I cannot.
FSLTL stopped working with FLAi so they could continue working with AIG but that group continued to make life hard for FLAi anyway ultimately causing them to have no choice but to close. How does that deserve respect?
Well for their defense, we have been using FLAi packages on FSX and P3D for years and they earned their respect with that. Having said that, it makes me sad as well not seeing AIG in FLAi. However, before we run onto judgment and accusations, I would like to hear AIG side of things and why they decided to do so.
