FSLTL - FS Live Traffic Liveries is live!

I am using it here chasing airplanes with Spotty v1.2 Beta

Obviously I’m aware support is not offered for FS2024 but how is FSLTL running in SU3 these days? The sim’s core AI traffic logic remains broken but is it as well behaved as Just Flight’s 2024 version of FS Traffic? With FST, a lot of (but not all) landing traffic simply overflies the airfield and doesn’t land, and most of the stuff that does manage to hit the deck gets stuck while vacating. Take-offs are mostly fine, with just some unrealistic bunching up now and again.

We are doing basic support for MSFS2024 on the Discord server, but just in terms of the injector is picking the right model/livery and the AI aircraft appears in the sim.

Yes, AI behavior is still a good step back from what it is was in MSFS2020 but there have been slight improvements here and there… but also new bugs as SU betas release.

We’re not working on any workarounds for these sim issues right now… some of these issues are core sim issues that Asobo/MSFT really need to fix and get AI back on a semi-stable state.

Thanks. So do aircraft actually take off and land now, as they do with FS Traffic? I imagine many of the problems are the same, given that AI is controlled by the sim and not the injectors…

Been using FSLTL with MSFS 2020 since the start and it’s been amazing and I thank the developers. I decided to do a complete uninstall and install of the base models ver 1.6 as they recommended it and all went fine. The traffic injector works fine and everything seems as before but I’m getting more blank white liveries then I did before the upgrade. I’ve checked some of them with the log files and seems no liveries were found for the aircraft. I just want to confirm I have all the Liveries installed and when I check the size of my fsltl-traffic-base folder is 47.8GB if it matches what others have for their installation.

thanks again for amazing free addon

I recall my full size install was a bit below 50GB, so I would say you are good.

I downsized textures to 2K and my current install is about half that size now.

Yes, 47.8 for me as well. You have them all.

If you’re on our Discord, open a support-forum post and attach your log with the flight numbers you’re interested in, and I can take a look.

Is there any way to have other traffic aircraft identifications shown while flying? For example, when using live traffic when not using FSLTL , flying traffic shows identification. It’s easier to spot traffic. When flying with FSLTL, flying traffic is hard to pick up , unless they’re right on top of you.

Unfortunately, the sim doesn’t support the ID/labels for SimConnect injected objects.

Thx for info, I’ll do that in the future.

I never really thought about it, but that explains the mystery of my missing traffic labels. I always figured it was a FS2020 bug that came in at some point, because I used to see traffic labels, and then at some point they stopped. I never consciously made the connection that this bug/change coincided with me starting to use FSLTL.

Now I keep LittleNavMap running on another screen so I can ‘see’ where the traffic is that way. But live traffic aircraft are still very tricky to spot in the sky. Doesn’t matter. I still enjoy and prefer the variety of real-world liveries provided by FSLTL when I’m taxiing out for departure or after landing.

I went back to the in game live traffic, I like seeing the labels. Also, I fly GA & fly to a lot of GA airports. Having the GA maxed in FSLTL there were very few if any parked aircraft at a lot of the airports I frequented. Even some low volume airline traffic airports, there were few GA airplanes parked or flying.

I can start posting the release notes here if that would be helpful for people that aren’t on our Discord…

Lower your parked aircraft settings within the MSFS simulator and also reduce the number of parked GA and VFR parked aircraft in FSLTL.

I have a rogue livery in South America which is rendering as purple textures. Always in Buenos Aires and Santiago when I fly there. Driving me mad. Spoils bottom end of South America flying. Both my traffic injector and base models are up to date in FBW.

Anyone know which one this is and how I delete it or disable it from being injected into the sim?

Use Little Nav Map. That app will show you each aircraft in the sim. Click on the affected aircraft and it will tell you the name of the livery used on that aircraft.

Once you have that, let me know the livery title and I can try to repro.
