TCAS in the PMDG 737 can detect the FSLTL traffic. Aerosoft CRJ too. I haven’t tested it in Fenix A320 yet though.
Hi, i like the tool. i like the crew. so i installed it asap and test it.
but i have the same issue. is this a problem of my system or a “bug” or known problem etc.
is there a solution for this?
thanks a lot.
That’s good to know so which TCAS is the previous posted referring to as not being detected?
There is a way to get rid of the Generic callsigns. It works good for me, and ATC calls them by type of plane. This fix was in the forum awhile ago, and the author was GBTAW.
Really fantastic addon…I seriously mean that. Works VERY well!!!
However, I’m afraid that after a few minutes of running it in the sim it just ends up highlighting the stupid, unfixed, never responded to, MicroSobo AI/ATC and ruining the immersion completely…for me anyway. Unless or until MicroSobo addresses these core issues, no traffic injection system will reach its full potential.
To end on a positive note, at least FSLTL makes the sim airports come alive, and again it looks great, all with very little impact on system performance.
Good Job FSLTL!!
No idea because I had the 737 ND display full of AI traffic around me when testing FSLTL.
Fenix also does.
I can’t get the injected traffic to show on the G1000 NXi. Real Time Live traffic shows fine. Injected traffic does show on the VFR map. I have traffic set to all in the traffic menu inside the NXi.
Any ideas?
Just for clarification. Are you using the sim Live Traffic and FSLTL?
If so, turn all sim traffic options off and use only FSLTL. Set Ground Aircraft Density to zero. If you have already done that, not sure what the issue might be. FSLTL traffic shows perfectly in the Nxi and Little Nav Map for me. Can’t say about the VFR map, you got me curious now.
Hope you can get it worked out.
No, not at the same time. FSLTL is set up as per the readme and the video. IFR is 80, VFR is 5, Static is 0. Changing these parameters yields the same results on the NXi … No injected traffic shown, regardless of zoom settings on map.
This is why you can change the number of aircraft injected. The default 85 injects the closest 85 aircraft within 200km from your plane - which means some of them will be at other airports.
Perhaps an option would be to exclude aircraft on the ground at other airports, injecting only those in the air.
Anyway, the solution rght now would be to set the number of aircraft to be injected lower.
Worth noting that the IFR and VFR numbers you set are not percentages, but are numbers of aircraft.
The number you set for static gorund aircraft IS effectively a percentage - 0 = none, 10 = max. See here from the user guide:
I would like to see logo lights on at gates at night, eventually navigation lights too. It would be great.
Funny thing. I have not had an issue seeing FSTL traffic on the TCAS until just a little while ago. Just flew from KCLT to KMRY, traffic all over the place in the sim and Little Nav Map, but not a single hit on TCAS after I left the ground at KCLT. Odd.
Not a critic or anything. It’s understandable given the age of the FSLTL addon. But I’m seeing too many white liveries for my taste. It’s a well designed addon and much easier to install. But at the moment, it’s still lacking variety of liveries and aircraft models from my region. I have no doubt that as the mod ages and updated with more models and liveries, in time I will have the same variety as I had before. But at the moment, I think I’m sticking with AIG with more complete models and liveries for my region.
So it’s not just me?
I just flew the A320 from Denver to Albuquerque to meet my lawyer Saul G. and had a few FSLTL traffic warnings.
Good to hear. There is really no reason why would be the FSLTL traffic ignored by TCAS when it’s normally recognised by the in-sim AI ATC.
I like seeing that they have included white base models for all aircraft. That way vPilot will show a white model of the relevant aircraft if there is no suitable livery for the acft/airline available, instead of the stock models!
