FSR, AMD's DLSS variant coming this year

Hey guys, saw a nice interview on guru3d about AMD working on it’s own DLSS tech called FSR ( FidelityFX Super Resolution)
The launch for this tech is likely this year.

And apparantly it doesn’t require machine learning like Nvidia’s tech does.
What do you guys think of this as a feature?

I assume this will be natively supported on all games that run on directx12 ultimate.
And since we get “raytracing support” as confirmed by sebastian this might also be done eventually.

The summer update for directx12 is pretty much around the corner.
Multi core support + FSR will probably bring smooth gameplay.
The frustration about performance runs deep lately with quite alot of simmers at MSFS.
This might be our savior tech hehe.

DLSS uses dedicated hardware while FSR not.
DLSS uses ML while FSR not.
So we can’t compare oranges and apples.
That’s why FSR will work on any kind of GPU since 3dfx, cause is nothing more than a stupid filter.
(you can try Sapphire Trixx 8.0, basically is the same thing)
