Just installed the Phenom 300. Was playing around with the FBO creation options. I have some observations… When you arbitrarily pick an airport for your FBO, it creates it where ever you chose- on the end of the existing buildings, or a field nearby, or smack on the tarmac. That said, it appears to be permanently there each time you create a flight, but… the airport map doesn’t show it exists until you set a starting point. Meaning you can’t ‘park’ in your FBO hanger at the start, or leave your jet in your own FBO hanger. It’s not like you created a personal FBO and get to park there after your flight. You have to create a flight at the airport you created your FBO, and set the departure point at a gate or ramp that the program already has loaded into that particular airport. It doesn’t recognize your FBO as a legitimate starting point. The only solution I can see is that you need to build your FBO hanger on top of a remote gate or ramp, so that when you pick that ramp, it happens to be in your hanger…Am I reading this right, or did I miss something?
Place your FBO Hangar onto a parking spot such that it does not interfere with other parking spots. Then choose that parking spot as the departure ‘gate’.
That is exactly what I’m doing.
OK- but it has to be a defined gate or ramp already part of that airport, correct? In other words, you need to place your hanger OVER a pre-defined parking area, since the program doesn’t recognize your new FBO as a valid departure point.
If you know where your hangar is, you can click where you think the center is and spawn on the ground cold and dark. It should spawn your aircraft, then the hangar. It just comes down to knowing where you placed the hangar. It took me a few times to get it right.
I wish FSReborn would make this a separate add-on to be used with any aircraft.
Exactly. For convenience I choose a stand defined in the the aircraft scenery and move/rotate the FBO around to match the place. Also check the aircraft orientation first. Place the FBO so that the aircraft faces inwards the FBO. It’s easier to do a pushback that way.
