Anyone else having any issues with FSRealistic “locking” up the mouse pointer within the sim? Took me a bit to figure out what it was, but its definitely FSR causing the mouse pointer to “jump” to the center of the screen. It makes a sound, which I believe to be a sound used by the program when entering First Person mode. Which I also cannot use. Its never allowed me to set a button to activate. Ive even uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
Anyway, Im just trying to figure out why it seems to be locking up the mouse pointer and not allowing me to start a flight from the world screen.

I had what I believe are similar problems. I tried to use several keys for First Person, but ended up using the Spacebar as it was one of the few keys that would work. And you’re right, if you activate that mode, you can’t really do anything else but use your mouse and mouse buttons to move around until you toggle out of it.
You could try mapping the spacebar and see if that at least allows you to enter and exit FPM. Best of luck.
Thanks. But to be clear, it wont even give me the option to setup a key. When I hit the button to do so, it wont ever give me the part where you enter which key bind. So I have turned off all first person, but it acts like its trying to switch itself.
Any chance my tobii eye tracker is conflicting with it? I was thinking that even though I dont have first person on, maybe the fsrealistic is somehow being confused by the input from the eye tracker
I can get to that screen, but the “set” button doesnt do anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing.
UPDATE: figured it out. In my case, for whatever reason, I had to disconnect the flight stick and head tracker. That then allowed me to set up the key binds. It also seemed to stop the automatic jumping in and out of the first person mode for no reason. Hope this helps someone else that may be having the same issue
Hey Captain, indeed, if you have a hardware which indicates the system that one or more of its buttons are in “Pressed” state, FSR will detect it as if you used it as your first person toggle (and sync it is in pressed mode, it will continuously go in and out from first person mode).
To bypass it, one needs to disconnect temporarily the problematic hardware and then set the first person key / button as they wish. Well done for figuring it out yourself.

Okay, I also gave up after spending multiple hours…
It is not only during assigning the key any other device must be unplugged that has buttons pressed (which I would not call a problematic device because it is very convenient for programming if on/off buttons appear as two separate buttons) but also when using the set button in FSRealistic (it works perfectly without the other devices plugged, stops working when plugged in)
Then tried to use a key bind but you cannot use shift, ctrl or alt with a key to make it unique…
