Do you see this on your PFD?
Too many dramas with this aircraft. Experimental won’t even load. 64gb ddr 5 9950x3d 5080 gigabyte. A220 will be out soon thank god.
Well, A220 is no Embraer E-Jet and Experimental loads fine for me. Actually, I’m testing a new beta version with a custom autopilot and some WASM crash fixes…
Why does my experimental version of the 190 not load? It freezes loading as im trying to load in.
No idea
The only thing I can recommend is to try to uninstall, delete the aircraft WASM folder and install it again…
I keep checking posts like this to see if FSS has made any real progress with the EJets. I bought mine (195) over a year ago. This has taken WAY TOO LONG for so little progress. No excuse for it. I’ve seen other developers create an aircraft from scratch quicker than FSS just getting these to a really usable level and they are still not. Sad- it had a lot of potential and good features…if they ever start working correctly.
There is a problem with the experimental version that was released today. It won’t load if you update to the latest navdata using the FSS navdata tool. Works fine if you don’t update. They are aware and hopefully we get a fix soon.
Delete the addon and wasm folders and reinstall but use the old navdata that ships with the release build.
Thank you. I uninstalled the sim and reinstalled. Seems to be working now. I just need to work out how to import the flightplan. Couldn’t seem where.
It has taken rather long time to get here, but I’m currently flying EFHK to EHAM in the E190 experimental and it’s very usable. VNAV is mostly fine IMO. Yes it’s taking way to long for a v1.0 release, but I really enjoy this aircraft. There really is no reason not to use it now. (experimental v0.10.36 build 8915)
Agreed. It’s much more stable for hand flying now. The latest experimental build is very fine.
I think the only thing annoying I’ve found is descending in V/S mode and the aircraft (E190) porpoises. Hope they fix that in the next build. VNAV descent is fine though.
I just called the jetway, and the jetway came over fine, but the stair truck got very confused. ![]()
The tiller could be a bit more effective as well.
OK. I just installed the latest EXPERIMENTAL version after hearing some here say it is “pretty good” (to paraphrase).
Here’s what I am experiencing so far, after importing a Simbrief plan and adding a STAR and RNAV approach (and using BATC if that matters):
1- I set my XPNDR correctly and it it is not recognized by ATC. Never had that happen before in other planes.
2- HDG and ALT bugs do not respond to my hardware bindings (separate Thrustmaster joystick and throttle). Every other plane I fly responds to these bindings. So I have to use the mouse every time I need an ALT or HDG change.
3- FLC isn’t working for either climbing or descending. (This one, I’ll admit, could be me but I’ve used FLC with no issues in other aircraft. Is there some special limitation here?)
4- Reverser binding (which I use on PMDG, etc.) does nothing. I cannot apply reverse thrust withoit changing views and pulling the throttles back.
There were 1 or 2 other issues that I can’t remember but… It did follow the RNAV approach and VNAV constraints very well, which I’ll give them credit for.
I’m not crazy about the FMC in this aircraft. I find it cumbersome and difficult to find Altitude settings and miles to go to next waypoint…seems cluttered and disorganized but, again…could just be me. I much prefer the Boeing FMC’s.
But bijnding issues really turn me off to a plane. If I have to constantly turn knobs with a mouse, etc. grrrr…
I’ve never had an issue with the transponder. I use BATC too. I just enter the code under RADIO and set it to TA/RA. I’ve not seen a single issue with it even from the early days.
FLCH should work, but admittedly I’m not using it directly. I’m using VNAV PATH for descent. I just dial in my bottom of descent into the ALT dial and a VNAV descent kicks in automatically when I reach TOD. I can go from cruise to 2000ft quite happily controlled by VNAV.
Yeah, I hate the FMC. The click spots in VR are awful, but I don’t need to use it, so no issue for me. PMDG is the only one with the backwards reversers. My reverser mapping works for this aircraft and all my non-PMDG aircraft. I don’t use Simbrief, so not an issue for me. I don’t use ATC, so no issue there.
Interesting! I have the PMDG 737-600 and my reverser binding (Toggle Reverse Thruster) works perfectly. But still having common binding issues in this plane.
Thank you very much!
Yeah I had major issues too. Also use the thrustmaster. Just too much of a hassle. Such a shame. I’ll stick with fenix for now. I never usually have issues but constant throttle issues etc and autopilot lights not working
