[FSS] Group Flight: Desert Sceneries (Part II)

Hello there good people of the world,
FlightSimSafaris very recently has ended two very long tours in the Rockies and Indonesia. Until we can come up with a new tour, we’ll do group flights created by our members which are not tied together by a theme.

Tonight we’re going back to the US to take a closer look at some locations related to the recent update around national parks. @SkyKlop has put together a flight plan including some personal anecdotes and pictures from his real world endeavors.

For a change we’ll fly slower and even lower than usual, so if you plan to come along, pick a Cessna 172, an NX/Monster Cub, Draco or similar.

Here’s the flight plan for tonight:
VFR Canyonlands (KCNY) to Page Muni (KPGA).pln (12 KB)

You need FS2024 to fly along (not sure if beta works, so if in doubt pick “stable”).

  • Leg’s gonna start around 7:00 pm zulu time
  • You need to join the SouthEast Asia Multiplayer Server. If you don’t know how, watch this: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/SdavexSz6BI
  • It helps to activate traffic nameplates so we can spot each other more easily. If you don’t know how, watch this: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/SdavexSz6BI
  • Add “DefragDad” as a friend on FS2024 to make it easier to find us.
  • We’ll simply meet up on the airfield and then decide when and which runway to take off from.
  • Please either join the FSS Safari Voice Channel on Discord to be able to communicate, or…
  • … as usual I’ll stream on Twitch, so if you can’t join the Discord server for whatever reason you can communicate on Twitch as well.

Thanks Klop for setting this up!

Awesome flight @SkyKlop Everybody enjoyed it a lot :+1:

07/14/2026 will be a continuation of the flight last Thursday, @SkyKlop has another leg in store for us with even more personal anecdotes, pics and awesome chaotic fun.

Again we’ll be going low and extra slow, so helos, Cubs, small Cessnas etc are the way to fly.

Here’s the flight plan for tonight:
VFR Monument Valley (UT25) to Canyonlands (KCNY).pln (3.4 KB)

Thanks once more Kloppo for making it happen.
