I’m a flight simulation enthusiast — French, 42, and I’ve been flying in front of a screen since the 1990s.
FS Studio REC isn’t the work of a studio. I’ve been alone on this project for a very long time. I started it, gave up, picked it back up, gave up again and always came back, because the idea never let go of me.
That idea came from a simple frustration. I always wanted to relive my flights from the inside: not a video, not a line on a map, but my aircraft replaying exactly what I did — flaps deploying on cue, gear coming down, the yoke moving, the levers pulling back on landing.
And above all on my favourite aircraft, the PMDG 737. That’s where it gets hard: these aircraft model their own systems and don’t answer to the simulator’s usual commands. I spent countless evenings searching, trying, failing, starting over. I’ve chased this since the very first versions of the 737, hitting the same wall every time.
Today that wall is down. The flight controls really are replayed reverse thrust included.
The product is now entering its testing and presentation phase. I build it alone, I test it in flight myself, and I answer every message personally. If something doesn’t work for you, you’re writing to me and I’m the one who fixes it.
Within a week, a free version will be downloadable from my shop for anyone willing to give it a try a 100% discount code will get you in at no cost.
It’s been a long road, on the development side as much as on the website side. But I now believe the application is mature enough to be tried by someone other than me. That’s exactly what I need: fresh eyes, other aircraft, other ways of flying.
A Discord will open very soon, to talk directly, report problems and follow the fixes.
One point of technical honesty: the application is not digitally signed. Windows will therefore show a warning on first launch this is normal and expected. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. A signing certificate is expensive for a lone developer; it will come, but later.
Thank you all.
