FSX compatibility and add on installment

please add a simple way to add legacy add ons to MSFS, i suggest all the user needs to do is create a folder called Community Legacy, and copy straight from fsx into MSFS and all gauges, physics effects and additional stuff will be understood by MSFS. this also includes not only the FSX Simobjects folders, but also every other folder that may surround an addon in fsx, this would allow very complex addons to work seamlessly in MSFS… please make it happen, this should be a thing from day one. (also the physics would automatically ajusts for every plane in comunity legacy folder)

(and what i mean by simple is (SIMPLE ENOUGH FOR EVERY GAUGE TO WORK WITHOUT NEEDING A PHD ON CONVERSION FROM FSX TO MSFS))

Personal opinion, but that would be regression.

Devs should bring products upto standard and not recycle old projects.

End user benefits the most

In more ways than one. First, FSX planes are lower in quality than MSFS, but if you’re willing to ignore that for the chance to fly an old favorite, I can understand that. But, that brings me to point two. When MSFS was first introduced, the “Legacy” flight model was intended for exactly what you want, and many port-overs were released and flown in the new sim. But with multiple updates to the core engine, most of those port-overs no longer work, even with the Legacy flight model selected. I’m betting most of those updates would have to be rolled back in order to do what you’re asking.

Yes to all, but, FSX had some great planes, which we might never see in MSFS, so being able to bring them in would be nice. FSX stuff was purposely blocked from MSFS for a number of reasons.

The only ones I would want are the very advanced addons - the study level planes like FSL Concorde.

But what would you do to run the things like fuel system and most of the very many engineering functions which are on a 2D panel only. That one isn’t like the existing Concorde, it’s a full on advanced study level plane.

I like the idea but it surely isn’t simple.

Making the physics work properly for the advanced planes would be very tricky, not to mention their systems.
