I’ve noticed that if I don’t get a CVT folder for the converted plane it isn’t working and I go out and redo after removing all files from MSFS2020 first.
Make sure your model will convert as posted earlier by checking your mdl file.
Yeah I don’t get a cvt. I set it up correctly, I just don’t know why it’s not working. If I go into dev mode it says visual external model not loaded. Could it be because the plane is a fs2004 to fax conversion. Then further converting it to msfs
You might have some dll or gau files in it, that I think still have to be deleted before converting
Well I’m done with the KC-10. I’ve redone and even downloaded from another source and still no engines and green cockpit glass.
I did try the 747 engine cfg and the green engine monitors (4) were there then the sim crashed, removed 1 engine from cfg and plane loaded but no engines…

If plane converts without the CVT folder can one be made or is that in the importer program?
not importer create CVT folder, but game itself
The CVT folder is a cache for the model and textures. The game creates it automatically when you load up a model in that folder. If you make changes to a model or textures, delete the CVT folder to clear the cache and the game will generate a new one
Just asking as mt F-15 was in the game but only saw it in Hanger not when I loaded it to fly.
never happen to me when my plane show up in hangar usually 99% time i see it when flyning
Well back to the KC-10 I copied the C-17 Engine cfg to the KC-10 and 4 engines are there now but #1 only gets up to 16%.
Maybe copy the runway file next??
Every F-15 I’ve tried had that 8 in the mdl file, except the one that shows in Hanger but not in flight.
Tried the runway copy that didn’t do anything. I’m done with this one.

All - everything herein is over my head except the pictures. One poster asked for a detailed step by step process on how you are accomplishing this conversion. I too would need step by step. I have a favorite plane as well in FSX. I have talked to the original developer, and they are working on it, but ran into issues after last patch/update. I certainly won’t hijack their efforts, but being able to convert one I have already paid for does not rub my conscience wrong, since I am not going to post it out for all to use. Just write down how we do it please.
