FSX Import Showcase

I removed the flt files on the F-15, no change. Plane shows up no working controls and engines stuck @50%.

I checked again.

The control surfaces also work when taking off from the runway.
However, they are not shown animated.
However, if you start in the air, all animations (elevator, ailerons … etc.) Are visible.

It’s the same in the P3D V5. Here you had to press the “FCS” button in the cockpit, after which the control surfaces were animated.

Most likely the animations are custom anims that rely on a variable to be set in a gauge in order to work. This only affects the visual appearance, so you can still fly.

Using ModelConverterX to cross-reference the assigned animations with the modeldef.xml file will reveal what variable it is looking for.

If you want the animations to only work locally (only for the person flying the aircraft, not visible in multiplayer) you can look for the gauge that controls that variable and change the coding so that it is always set correctly (ie always set to 1).

If you want the animations to be universal, you can use MCX to re-assign them to standard control animations. Then if two players are flying together they will see the animations of the other. This is also probably easier to do, depending on how intricate the animations are.

wrong, the m2000 was the first with afterburner

this look even worse than fsx x)

Convair C-201 Kestrel flyable … its a very pretty fighter…

Maybe I should just not use the Legacy converter and go back to the plane converter.

Reloaded and still something out of wack. Engine starts but then cuts off, Strange that wheels and bottom are white…

For the white wheels use the texture converter in the leagacy tool…
With the engine that is a kown problem… wait until the engine is off than start him manual with STRG + E

I just deleted all Planes except the ones you helped me with and gonna pick one plane and figure it out before wasting anymore time converting planes that just don’t work.

The problem is you need knowledge about the .cfg files… These files are the brain of your plane

Agree That is why I’m starting over.
Thanks for all your help also.

The 1st plane is the KC-10 and already need a answer. It has 3 engines and not sure what to do make 3 out of 2 or 3 out of 4. If that makes any sense…at least it is moving.

I have some hope with this. Got 2 of the 3 engines running, brakes are locked now to figure out what I changed on them as it was rolling.

Hi i have converted many of my cool FSX aircraft , many have issues but some are near perfect conversions like this awesome KC Flight Shop Seabee! However i have a slight issue concerning the exterior cockpit windows/canopy which is both opaque and a shimmering gold colour. My question to the Community …Does anyone know how to find the specific texture file in the aircrafts main texture folder and how do i go about fixing this issue? None of the textures in the folder give any hints at which it could be, is there a way to load the aircraft model in a viewer of some kind and isolate the problem? Any help would be great thanks!
I have photoshop but no DDS plugin yet.

you could try to import the model to blender and check what the UV maps look like. Then you can isolate the texture and change the shader to a windscreen shader.
