Full G1000 control now with Mobiflight

Glad you got it working. You were definitely 90% of the way there. Just not quite the way I initially thought. lol

Thank you for this great topic. For the moment I’m stuck. I installed AirManager beta 4, I have FSUIPC7 (paid version). I imported the g1000 panel into Air Manager and installed Mobiflight (but I don’t understand the role of Mobiflight) and copied “mobiflight-event-module” to my community folder.
When I run Mobiflight and FS2020, the “sim status” and “simconnect” of Mobiflight are indeed active in green but the Module remains with a yellow triangle. When I am in AirManager and click on “show” for my G1000 I just have a black screen.
What did I forget to do?
Thank you in advance.

You have to ‘pop-out’ the screens from MSFS. The panels from AirMaster are just the buttons. Use the mouse to hoover over the G1000 screen on your plane and press the R ALT button. Your screen will pop out and you can drag it to the Air manager panel.

ok i thought Air Manager was going to be able to “stream” the g1000 from fs2020 (make a “copy” of it). In my memories, pop-out the g1000 from fs2020 causes a big drop in FPS and that’s exactly why I was looking for an alternative solution.

Anybody else getting CTD with the Mobiflight event module in the community folder after the update (1.15.7.0)?

They broke WASM modules with the latest patch. Early word from devs (of said modules) is there’s nothing they can do about it. It’s an issue at the SDK level. Until Asobo fix it, we’re all boned.

UGH!!
I figured I’d try installing the newest SDK, on the off chance it fixes it.

I honestly don’t see Asobo releasing a fix for this until next patch at the earliest, so we’re all out of luck until then with Air Manager / Mobiflight.

My Air Manager switches (Arduino hardware) work but the G1000 bezels don’t. I guess I’ll have to go back to my steam gauge panel setup in Air Manager. I’m assuming that will work if the switches work.

Steam gauges will work fine, but the GNS530/430 won’t because it uses Mobiflight.

Yeah. Bummer. I use the Aspen GPS map display for my steam gauge setup. I had that going before I found the cool way to have a saved location for the G1000 PFD/MFD using Power Toys Fancy Zones. Without that, getting the size/position correct for every launch would be too much hassle.

Seems like Asobo/MS have quite a few other high profile bugs on their hands these days. I tend to agree with you that they probably won’t fix the WASM stuff until the next sim update. I hope we’re wrong!

■■■■, I use Mobiflight Wasm to control the G1000 and GNS530 with Spad.next. This is bad news

Spad.next no longer works with MSFS either as it’s also a WASM module. So you’re double screwed if you were using that with any other hardware.

Neither does FSUIPC if you use the full payware version.

Just updated MSFS today( ver 1.15.7.0) I have the latest 8.02.09 of Mobi flight even module.
Game crashes before I get to the main menu every time.
As soon as I remove the mobi flight event mod from my community folder, game works fine.

Anyone else having this issue?

Everyone is having this issue. They totally broke WASM module support in the sim. Until Asobo fix it, we’re out of luck.

Thanks, at least I know it’s not just me!

Think this new world patch can help? Or do we have to wait for a sim patch? By the way people are talking, the world patch may address some issues.

I have no idea. It’s unplayable for me right now. I can’t use my cockpit setup due to the WASM modules being broken, so no more Mobiflight. And I’ve lost another 5 fps. The sim is unplayable for me at 15-20 fps. So I don’t know if CTD issues have been fixed or not. I’m putting the sim away for a while now. I don’t have the patience to deal with this dumpster fire any more.

The mobiflight extensions don’t work now? So all the g1000 and GNS stuff we have been using no longer work in air manager?

That’s correct.
